I got the Ghost Rider Starter Set last night, and Blackheart's strike was so weak that I thought it was broken and exchanged the whole set this morning. The new one is slightly stronger, but wow... he sucks a lot. Possibly more than Crumplezone, even, because he strikes upward and lower. I noticed that Joe's notes said "I was surprised to see that his attack is actually an Uppercut, using the hand that glows with Magic Aura, and it packs quite a punch. I would rate it better than Daredevil’s, due to the extra striking surface, but not as powerful as Venom." Am I doing something wrong?
His special power is awesome, though. (Choose and remove a figure from your opponent's defeated area out of the game, then stand this figure up.)

What are the activation rates for special powers in the set?

You are NOT doing something wrong. Joe didn't actually have Blackheart in hand when he wrote that (I think Webhead did), he was just going by the pictures he saw online. Sucks that he sucks. How are the other figs from that set?

Mine works fine for knocking over single figs. He won't really put anyone airborne, but he's solid. Is your weak to the point where he won't take out a figure?

I practiced using him a little more, and he's not as bad as I originally thought. He will take out figures if you get right up on them and do the twist and strike thing. Since he's a 40 point Leader, I guess I just expected more from him. In my opinion, the uppercut was a cool idea, but it strikes too low.

Ghost Rider is one of the best 20 pointers I've seen (next to Battle Ravage.) His strike is powerful enough to send figures flying, and he moves 12 tix. Also, his special power is Vengeance (Remove the attacking figure if you have another figure in play.)

the newer uppercut and hammer fist guys will take some getting used to unless you used the newer striker chewy a lot. There should be multiple "settings" where you can click the arm around to lock it into place. My Blackheart is setup to do a 180 degree strike, starting with his arm almost straight down and ending with it almost straight up. I was able to knock over any figure I tried with this technique...you might want to try adjusting his arm if it isn't in that configuration. It makes him harder to store (his arm will stay straight up), but he attacks a lot better that way. Just wait til you get Daredevil, the master of the "America's Funniest Videos" attack.

I actually did try clicking his arm around with the first one I had, but the spring pretty much stopped working after like 10 strikes!
