As interesting an attack as it would be, there's one major problem with that, guys...
Grimlock wasn't the Dinobot 'flamethrower', SLAG was the Dinobot with the flame breath.
Now a fire-spouting Slag in TF series 3, on the other hand.....

Told you, did he? Oh wait...this is the TF board, not the SW board Anyway, it sounds like Joe's e-mail with the proto seller pretty much seals it.

Translation: He is a prodder. Did he tell you? Anyway, it would seem that Grimlock is a "flamethrower", when really he shoots a laser pointer like beam that blinds your opponent, permanently disabling your opponent from fighting back. (He's a prodder)

Next you TF attacktix fans need a robot Grimlock with a huge fist to bring some more strikers into the game. Yes! Or his sword.... but I think I like the mental image of him having a huge hand or fist. Maybe a downward strike like Thor's. I suppose it doesn't really matter though, as I'll gobble up anything Grimlock.

Have you not watched the movie. Watch the scene where he's getting in the shuttle Now a fire-spouting Slag in TF series 3, on the other hand..... That would be cool

Translation: He is a prodder. Did he tell you? A more accurate translation, taking into account the subtleties of puns At any rate, the more traditional strikers that the TF line gets, the more competitive it'll be with the others. If Grimmy can be one of 'em, so much the better.

Oh man, why do I feel like climbing on top of a soap box to continue my rant almost daily? Yes, grimlock could have his sword he is seen with many times over in the g1 series... But no, hasrbo would rather give us some odd bend over prodder thing. Im not complaining about getting a new grimlock figure, not really.... I like seeing new sculpts and ideas, but the directions they seem to be moving with transformers do not help them in the competitive department at all. Two series' of transformers wont even be as competitive as one single series of marvel. Heck I dont even think that both TF1 and TF2 combined can compete against any single series released to date. It sad, theres so much potential.

It does seem like it'll be kind of difficult to controll where and how Big Grim prods. With Skyblast, I can aim and prod other figs in the head, toppling 'em. Looks like with Grim your limited. Hmm. Well, I guess all we can do is wait and see how he works out. After reading Mal's post about the competitivity of the TF figs, it makes me a little worried. I certainly hope the TF line doesn't end prematurely on account of not enough of us buying them because we've got all the shooters we could possibly need.

I really wish I could say not to worry about it.. But lets face it, the weakest link in all of attacktixdom is transformers. If anything ever gets scaled back due to lack of sales or or anything like that, my bet would go to transformers getting the axe. But I really dont want to be a doomsayer, I want transformers to be developed in a slightly different way. I want more emphasis on the competitive angle, not half hearted attempts at releasing G1 figures older fans would like. I only say half hearted because I hate the force blast things, an energy axe prime would have been like a million times better.

Not only would it have been an amazing starter set but it also would have brought Transformers back from the brink almost single handedly. All the series would need after that is at least one good ten or twenty point striker for both the Decepticons and Autobots and then the entire series would be on its way to being back in business. On topic, Grimlock being a mere prodder is lame to the extreme. Why not just have him bend over and shoot normally like Boba Fett? Why do all this weird stuff with the underside button and rock? Lame!
