Hi, I've recently started up on collecting the TF series and in my two boosters pulled Decepticlone, Starscream (Who's special seemed to come up a lot), Mini-Con, and Megatron (now I have two of the guys.) Me and my sister played a few games, mostly all autobot v all decepticone (Gold Super Optimus Prime, both Skyblasts, Overhaul, Mini-Con against Gold and normal Megatrons, decepticlone, Dirtboss, and Starscream) and Megatron never got a kill a battle droid couldn't have. He's hard to take down and all but I wish his attack could atleast rival a standard Force Blast (you can't lob it). So I was wondering if there's any stradegey's you TF veterans can share for using him, how to position the missile and such. He's a cool figure and I'd hate to never be good enough with him to use him effectivly. Any help is appreciated!

I haven't had any problems with Megatron. I've found his shot nearly as useful as Overhaul and Excellion(who have a great bullet) and more useful than the smaller missiles(small and medium).
I will say this: Megatron requires a good shooter. A glancing shot will deflect off and be a weaker hit than it should be. On the other hand, a solid hit will do more damage than a smaller missile. As long as you're a good shot, his missile is really good.
The missile is slanted, with one end of the disc protruding forward. At closer ranges, putting the protruding side of the disc on the bottom might help. At long range, putting the protruding side of the disc on the top is definitely the best way. Those are pretty much guessing, as I haven't really used Megatron a lot in a while. At extreme long range, the missile will arc a little, and with the slant on it(at the top) will hit harder than anything at long range. I've seen kills at over four feet.
If you'd like, and if you can wait since I won't be doing this today, I'll play a few games with Megatron and give you a more educated opinion.

I personally like slanting the missile downwards and aiming for the head. It generally sends a figure flipping and makes for a neat effect.
On the other hand, having the slant high allows one to aim a bit lower and still have the chance of a head shot.
Finally, slanting the missile either left or right can allow one to avoid an enemy's gun when it has it pointed directly at Megatron, normally stopping a clear shot. Just slant around the weapon and you can get a decent hit.
As casualoblivion said, it takes a bit of work but Megatron's slant can both make things more difficult or allow for some very good shots.

I tend to leave the missile sloping with the farther-forward part at the bottom, like a dozer blade, when he's not attacking. This lets it act like sloped armor against opponents' shots. I've seen several otherwise solid shots glance right off it.

You can move Megatron's arm all the way down to his side, and tilt the missile so you can move the arm fully down and not be off the table. Then turn Megatron so his gun side faces the enemy. It makes Megatron a slant from top to bottom, and he's almost impossible to kill like that.

I've been able to take down every normal figure with Megatron except for Optimus Prime himself (fitting I know). For prime I use battle ravage (Not so fitting). But I love using megatron to clear the board of my nephews troops. I think his bullet works great. Slanting it like a bulldozer is probably the most effective way I've found.

Really? I've killed Super Optimus Prime lots of times with Megatron. I've only tried it a couple of times, I just like to strike prime better. We started playing with just Transformers, and none of us could use Battle Ravage effectively. I didn't have a Landmine for a while, and Scorponok was the last figure I found. We played for a long time using only Transformers shooters. Killing Prime with Megatron became a required skill.
