Hi for those with more experience with him, how do you attack with Battle Ravage? I'm a big fan of strikers, but the one's I have at least don't seem to swing like other strikers I have. Thanks for your imput.

He is a unique striker and the more I use him the more I respect his power. If you are used to the jedi strikers from Star Wars it will take a little gettin used to. I have also encountered problems with weak-striking Battle Ravages that I pulled from boosters. Luckily its an easy fix. Just take a little WD-40 and spray into the waist joint. Turn the figure a few times by hand to work it in and it should be a super striker again. This also works for Star Wars strikers, I had to do it with my endor Luke which is chrome.

I attack just like I would with a Lightsaber, holding the ball in my right hand and the base in my left. I find it helps to be a little farther away with Battle Ravage than you would with a saber, as the strongest hits are a square shot with the ball, which is best at a small distance. Hold the ball as low as possible as it tends to rise during the swing, and if you hold it waist high it can swing over the target figure's head and miss. The only knock I have on Battle Ravage is that the ball seems to hit the figure in a way that simply knocks it over, and not backwards. You can't hit something into other figures for multiple kills.

OK, thanks I'll try some WD-40, which is defiantly a life saver (series 2 figures especially). The Ravages I have don't get all the way back around, but I'd heard how good they were so I thought I'd ask

Pull the ball. You get much more power by pulling the ball back and letting it go. I was pulling back the arm at first, but it doesn't get nearly the power.

Physics lesson: The energy stored in the figure is purely a function of spring strength and angle of twist. However, the closer the string starts to being along a radius, the greater percentage of that energy can actually go into swinging the ball around instead of pulling it up onto the path. This is why pulling back by the ball works better than pulling by the arm, because you're holding the string level with the swinging circle.
You can also get some "english" on the ball by pulling back and down, or back and up. You'll want to practice before trying it in a game, though.

ok, yeah I had been pulling the ball, I guess I just need to use some WD-40 So the WD-40 thing actually works? The first Scourge I got SUCKED, and I never tried the WD-40 thing. I got so many better figures on the same mass battle pack purchase that I just kind of gave up and ignored him. However, the one I got today is awesome, and I can't wait to use him. Maybe I'll WD-40 the other one and then compare them to each other...

Instead of hitting my opponent's Wicket, Battle Ravage backlashed and swung out one of my own guys in the 200 point tournament. He's just too strong for me.

Yeah WD-40 has saved several of mine, even gets Royal Guards and GG Bodyguards to swing decently well.

I'll put it this way: the first figure I had the chance to get to try the WD-40 trick on was Kit Fisto; I then got a second one that was great out of the box. If I didn't see the slight WD-40 stain on the back label, I wouldn't have been able to tell the two apart. Phoenix deserves credit for saving lots of figures by proposing that trick

Yes indeed thanks to Phoenix That has saved many of my figures Series 2 especially. Unfortunately it appears the Ravages I have just have poor springs. If anybody has a couple spares I have an extensive trading list and would like to get some that work. Thanks.
