I finally got Omega Supreme today, and I've come to the conclusion that I can't take him out by shooting him in the knees, even with two perfect shots. This is because even when both joints are "unlocked," he doesn't usually fall over... he just leans back!
I read the thread about everyone's house rules, so am I correct to assume that, according to the official rules, he'd still be in play since his base is touching the ground entirely?
If so, I think Ransack is going to be the only one I'd use on him, because I'd pretty much be sacrificing two figures each time I attempt to shoot his knees! That sucks!

Yes I would say he is still in play until part of the base comes off the table.

Personally, I rule that leaning back counts as a kill on Mega, since they're supposed to be killable with the two shots, even if they manage to avoid toppling.
How does the Boma do it? I don't have one of those, but it strikes me that it's too low-slung to ever fall over.

This make it fall forward very easy do to all the weight getting put to the front.

The lizard mount thing, whatever. I have a hard time remembering the random strings of letters Lucas assigns to his stuff. ---Dave

This is because even when both joints are "unlocked," he doesn't usually fall over... he just leans back! You bring up an interesting design question. The original SW Megas had the same sort of targets on them, and we've talked about having numerous ways to allow the Megas to keep standing, even if they had both targets knocked down (e.g., keep a figure under Boga's chin or one right behind the AT-RT). I think that having the targets on the base for the Republic Gunship and Jabba were Hasbro's ways of counteracting this (i.e., if you get both targets down, a peg pops up underneath the base to raise it up). Seems like the Omegas have the same design problem as the original SW Megas. Because Megas aren't tournament-legal, anyway, whatever one does with them can basically come down to house rules. Thus, I'd say that if you've knocked both knees in, Omega would be "down by contact" Yeah, it does rather suck. Personally, I wish that all Megas had the "base peg" that popped up when the figure is defeated - maybe the top-heavy Omegas were too susceptible to falling damage if this were implemented?

I don't see why it maters, with both knees popped out it's not like he could ever manage a strike anyway.

I have the TF Megas and have played against them extensively, and Ransack is far from the only figure that is a threat to them. I can consistently knock over both Omegas with most lightsaber figures in one strike, not even bothering with the targets. I just aim for a leg(a little to the side, and not hitting a target), give it full power, and down it goes. I haven't really tried it with Yoda, but I can do it with Armored Vader, S1 and S2 Obi Wan, S4 Gold Luke, and the Jedi Knights almost every time. I can also get 100% kills on the Omegas with Skyblast's robot mode. Just aim the spear right in the nuts. It sends the Omegas flying, and is a hell of a lot of fun.
