Nobodys done this yet, so I guess I'll do it. I'd use my own stuff, but I'm actually short one of these figures(the Mini-Con), and one of the Attacktix only exists in the Transformers video game. I'm also lazy. Therefore, pictures are courtesy of http://www.seibertron.com(with some small exceptions). #1 Mini-Con(aka Skyboom) #2 Ominicon(a generic recolor of Energon Signal Flare) #3 Decepticlone(best screencap I could find of this from the videogame Transformers: Armada) #4 Insecticon #5 Rodimus #6 Battle Ravage

Excellent idea! I had been thinking this would be cool for people that don't know TF as well as some of us, and was surprised that no one else had done this yet. Awesome!

Minor quibble, TF08 Starscream is based a little more closely on the $50 size "Supreme" Starscream toy, which has a missile launcher built into one of the wings (sadly, the WRONG wing, as far as the Attacktix figure is concerned), as opposed to having a handheld launcher as shown in the Japanese toy above (the only American release of that particular mold was in a different color scheme).
Also, Vector Prime's launcher is actually a MASSIVELY deformed version of his Mini-Con Safeguard (visible on the left arm of the picture above). I agree he should have been a Jedi-style sword-swinger, but the launcher isn't totally wrong.

Sweet - thanks for compiling all of these! I certainly had no idea what all of these were based on, and I'm glad to have the reference toys for comparison. I certainly makes me appreciate the details of the line now.

I want the action figure of Ransack so bad!!! Its only a $7 figure. If you check Wal-Marts, Targets and in particular second tier stores like K-Mart, K-B toys you might get lucky and find one. It hasn't been out in a while. You could find one on Ebay easily, and you might be able to get a loose one for about $10 shipped. On the other hand, there is a recolored version in green that's available in the current assortments, and in my opinion looks better than the original red one.

Ransack's weapon is normally folded up. Putting the Key in causes the barrels to flip out into the position shown. If you click on the "Transformers Reviews" link in my signature, there's reviews of every toy that got turned into an Attacktix figure (the Decepticlone was never a toy before Attacktix, though).

BTW, here's a picture of the Light Unit from Prima's Official Strategy Guide to the Transformers computer game. It's a little closer to the color balance of the Attacktix figure (the screencap is a sunset scene, it seems). ---Dave

In terms of the Cybertron storyline, there has been no official expanding of "GTS" to mean anything. Functionally, it means "recolor of a Speed Planet mold". We've had Override GTS, Ransack GTS and Brakedown GTS so far. Other recolors were made into new characters, like Excellion or Swerve. Dark Crumplezone is an extensive remold in addition to being a recolor. In real cars, GT stands for Grand Touring, and GTS stands for "wanted to sound even more special than GT", more or less. (There's an actual meaning for the S, I just forget what it is, and I don't think it's even consistent across manufacturers). It generally means the vehicle is a little better suited for longer trips ("touring"), but these days may only mean it has nicer trim. ---Dave
