I saw a similar post about series 5 Star Wars so I thought we should have one here to see what people think we might see in the next wave to TF attacktix. Does anyone have an idea as to when we will see series 2?
Of course my first choice for the next series would be G1 themed. Will we actually get it? Remains to be seen. As for who I would like to see in it? Here are a few ideas: Grimlock Bumblebee Soundwave Devastator-as a mega classic Megatron

I think it would be good to introduce prior-series Tfs in the same way a few Star Wars Rebels and Empire were trickled into Sw S3. Maybe just 4 classics or Beast Wars or something in a wave, then a wave that is all old stuff.
But I really think that we will see a series or two before we see some new movie-themed TF attacktix.
Star Wars S4 included 6 out of 18 booster figures as repaints? And all 4 starters were repaints? I would say it is quite likely that we will get some of the figures Hasbro had intended. So taking that into account with a guess that repaints will be carried forward in a similar quantity...I would guess:
Repaints of: Mini-Con (I'm just betting that the troops will have other versions relating to some of the special powers in S1) Insecticon Cryo Scourge (TF needs more strikers. He needs a new base. It makes sense) Galaxy Force Optimus Prime (Maybe they won't include the leaders every series, but it is a decent guess if they are doing Galvatron) Sunstorm (Starscream repaints are such an opportunity that they better get started soon before we get tired of them. And with Skywarp and Thundercracker belonging currently to a different mold, Sunstorm is always a good bet.) Signal Flare (The mold seemed to be made for a specific character. So it really hasn't been fully used imo) Brushguard (He would make a good booster since the mold was previously only in the starter)
Previously seen (somehow I'm betting some of these will end up as starters): Demolishor Galvatron Dark Scorponok Arcee Strongarm
Add in new basics: Omnicon (arcee mold) Scrapmetal
and to round it out with some new big guys: Jetfire LeoBreaker Override Red Alert Sideways Thunderblast Sideways

Does anyone have an idea as to when we will see series 2? |sf>Actually, I read the entire Botcon information page and there's something rather interesting on there. For those who preregister for Botcon, they will be given the opportunity to purchase Botcon souvenirs. To quote from the online Botcon brochure: "To purchase any of the convention souvenirs (yes – they're a secret!) on Thursday night, you must have on your convention name badge. You are welcome on Thursday night (or any time the Sales Room is closed) to trade room to room. Make sure you use the official message board to let folks know where your room is located." This tells me that these mystery souvenirs are blind packaged and have multiple paint jobs/molds (Otherwise, there would be no need for trading.). We also have several Attacktix figures that we know that Hasbro has held onto. I may be off my mark here in this prediction, but it's possible that the "mystery souvenirs" could include the missing Attacktix TFs (Arcee, Dark Scorponok, Strongarm, and wasn't there another one besides Galvatron...). Furthermore, last year's Botcon figures included a recolored Arcee (Chromia) and a recolored Strongarm (Fallback). That could make 6 figures (2 "rares" and 4 "super rares"). With 3 or more other females from G1, I could see Hasbro recoloring the Arcee mold multiple times for later official series and probably recoloring Strongarm. As for series two, I already posted my "wish list wave" within the G1 classics thread. There have been many TF characters through the years. I'm not very confident that any of those predictions will actually be made into Attacktix form, but I still stand by my hopes.

Some rumors are that Tf's series 2 will be mixed, with hopefully G1 and Beast Wars. Also I hope safarisuz is wrong because I want Those guys and, I'm not going to Botcon.

I'd like to see a G1 theme as well, but like everyone's said, probably not. Most likely I'd say if it's not Beast Wars then it'll be a mix of figures. It would be cool if they went back and put in some Armada or even RID pieces. Maybe even some gestalt megas, though they'd most likely be newer characters, Rail Racer, Ruination, Landfill etc.

Also I hope safarisuz is wrong because I want Those guys and, I'm not going to Botcon. |sf>I didn't give that prediction to be "mean" toward those who weren't going; I'm only offering my deduction. For all I know, the souveners could be a bunch of pins (or even trading cards). Even before the advent of the TF Attacktix figures, I planned to attend (because I attend in even years). If the Botcon people don't run out of the 'mystery items' at the event itself, it's also possible that some of them could go for sale on their web page after the event. On the plus side, even if the new Attacktix molds premiere at Botcon, I know they'll wind up being used at least once in a normal Attacktix series. When it comes to Transformers at Botcon, Hasbro always recycles the molds. (In some cases, Hasbro has recycled the same mold at least four or five times. Consider recycling of molds to be manditory at Hasbro.) The only exception is that the head might slightly change. Again, even if they do premiere at Botcon, several of us will be going and you know that most Attacktix fans will buy multiple extras for trading. Speaking of recolors, I bet we haven't seen the last use of the Battle Ravage mold. After all, Hasbro released a Command Ravage toy (a recolor of Battle Ravage), so they'll probably release Command Ravage Attacktix in an upcoming series.

"Souvenirs" is the term Master Collector applies to the attendee exclusive figures that can be bought at the show. They are not available for preorder and do occasionally show up on their site for sale if they have leftovers after the show has ended. They've been doing this with the G.I. Joe conventions since 2003. They aren't sight-unseen. There are usually just a few different ones available. These are not termed the "attendee exclusive" because they use that phrase to describe the item you receive free by attending (rather than just getting your convention set in the mail). So each year, to get all the Master Collector toys, you have to get the Convention set (About $260 if you are a member), the attendee exclusive (free with each set by showing up), the convention souvenirs ($ ), and in the case of GIJoe also the parachute drop figure (also usually free by showing up...with additionals for $20 or you can catch a free one out of the air if you are a kid). It really is a shame there isn't some TF equivalent of the parachute drop. "Roll Out" maybe? Last year's Souvenirs were Flamewar, Flareup, Ratchet, and Virulent Clone. This year, several protos have been spotted online that are not said to be included in the Convention set. So it is quite likely that these are the souvenirs. That said, I don't think it is impossible to see a botcon exclusive Attacktix figure. I would hope that they use Botcon to start with some trophy TF attacktix. But I also think it is possible that Hasbro could show up with some Attacktix singles to hand out as they have in the past (and as they did at Botcon and SDCC with the small LOC Skywarp and Ramjet). I'd love to see a Ransack as Rattrap to go along with the con toy: www.botcon.com/pictures06/rattrapBOT.jpgOr an Attacktix Optimus Primal, even though I doubt they would remold the Cumplezone head: www.botcon.com/pictures06/primalbot.jpgI'm sure tons of possibilities exist. I just think it would be cool to see them have an attacktix based on a toy that actually came from botcon. So I guess other good possibilities for that would be Fallback: www.tfu.info/2005/Autobot/BCFallback/fallback.htmFlamewar: www.tfu.info/2005/Decepticon/BCFlamewar/flamewar.htmChromia: www.tfu.info/2005/Autobot/BCChromia/chromia.htmFlareup: www.tfu.info/2005/Autobot/BCFlareup/flareup.htmIt seems so far that aside from trophies, Hasbro has made sure all the attacktix are widely available. So I doubt an exclusive (and would be nervous about playing a game with an expensive convention toy), but at the same time part of me is hopeful.

The Ransack as Rattrap would suck. and the primal looks like plane jet car thing... Speaking of which, what is Crumplezone? He has a jet front on his chest and wheels on his arms. and they are big-ride-on-them wheels not landing gear wheels. He is like a flying car or jetcar?

Since I don't attend odd-yeared Botcons, it's a new term for me. Exactly. That's the type of recolor that I would find to be cool. Again, that's something that I wasn't aware about, since I only started Attacktix with these Transformer figures.

I'm predicting, and hoping, for an all or almost all energon series. We already know acree, dark scorpnock and strongarm exist so it would make sense, espcially cuz they can reuse omnicons and battle ravage. but that's just MO.

They should have Metroplex as a Mega. He would probably be a 80 point striker with a gigantic scooper weapon.(see pic) His Mini-con is next to his legs and also Legends of Cybertron Optimus Prime. Picture from www.tfkenkon.com
