I've now played at least 30 games with Transformers Attacktix now, and used every figure aside from Scourge and Scorponok which I don't have, as well as Vector Prime and Excellion who suck. From this game experience I can name two figures that stand above all the rest, as well as one close runner up:
1. Overhaul--This guy is a 30pt force blaster with a great power, Sacrifice at better than 50%. His energy blast is lighter than a force blast, and has more than enough range to get first turn kills across the table. At closer range, the mass of the energy blast is even more effective. On top of this, Overhaul is short and heavy, and holds up admirably under fire. More cannot be said about how good this figure being 30pts is. This is the closest any figure has ever come to Shooter Grievous, having a comparable special power, harder to shoot down, and sacrificing a small amount of long range accuracy for power.
2. Skyblast(Jet) and Skyblast(Robot)--This figure is a team. For 20pts and 30pts of backups, you get a tank with small missile to advance forward, which when it dies, theoretically close to an enemy, it becomes a striker, at least most of the time. I will repeat this: this figure is a hard to hit shooter who becomes a striker when it dies. When you start going over 100pt teams, this figure gets even better, as you can only play one of the team with 100pts, but you can play three at 200pts(3x 30pts=90pts in backups). Three of these is scary. This team of figures compares well with the best of Star Wars.
3. Super Optimus Prime(truck and robot)--As a robot, this figure is all but immune to small missiles. Only an angled shot on the inside of its launcher or a shot from behind will bring it down. This figure is far from invincible, but its still the hardest figure to take down in the game, and does truly have a near immunity to one of the more common attacks. SOP also has the strongest missile in the game, though is harder to use at long range. This missile is heavy enough to get multiple kills on formations consistently. Also has a 31% chance for the gold one to not die when killed. Worth the 40pts. Also has a vehicle mode which lets you bring it in for 30pts, is hard to kill in and of itself, and has a high speed getting the robot mode into its best kill range.
These three in particular have been the stars of our gaming experience so far.
