I'm a Transformers collector, so I can't bring myself to play with a team that isn't based on them. That being said, I've been doing better playing mixed teams than just Transformers.
We were playing 150pts tonight, and I was dominating with the following team:
3x Battle Ravage 2x Skyblast(Jet) 1x Series IV starter Han Solo 1x Series IV starter Chewbacca 1x Jedi Knight
Backups 2x Skyblast(Robot)
The Jedi Knight is to give Han Solo a second Warrior for his power to activate with, and be the fourth figure in the formation with the Battle Ravages. That and he's just the best you can do with 10pts. If we were playing 160pts like we probably should, I'd add a second.
My main strategy is for the three Battle Ravages and the Jedi Knight to advance in formation, Han Solo to advance with no regard for his own safety, Chewbacca to hide behind the formation or behind a Skyblast until something dies, and the Skyblasts to advance, and shoot when necessary.
I just killed with this team. Multiple Skyblasts are just plain wrong, and I really like this Han Solo. It does help that both of the people I play against dislike using strikers and only use Transformers.
This team will hold me until my series IV Darth Vader and my Series II starter Kenobi arrive from Ebay.
