I think the biggest problem for Transfans is they like their Transformers to ... well ... transform. That's why lines like Heros of Cybertron, and Titanium don't go over as well with the majority of fans. Personally I just started playing this game with my nephew and I think it's a lot of fun, I'm a huge transfan, and I think through word of mouth this game will eventually become more popular with the fans. I disagree. High end items like busts, statues etc. sell very well with transformers fans. The jury is still out on the titanium line too, that was just recently released. There is plenty of room in the property for a collectible game IMO.

I like my transformers to transform. in fact, a big factor of whether I'll buy a transformer or not is how complicated it is to transform. "cat stands up, so it must be a robot" doesn't cut it for me. but, attacktix aren't really transformers. they are, but they aren't. They represent the transformers characters, but they aren't transformable. Nevertheless, This game is so fun! it reminds me of saturday mornings when I would set up all my transformers and have a big battle between maximals and predacons, and then when RiD came out, autobots and decepticons that spanned all across my room. I still do that sometimes, but not as often.

What's funny to me is that I STILL see a lot of these TFs sitting on shelves where there's no SW toys left. I am in San Jose today, and I went to Wal-Mart yesterday to get a swimsuit for my daughter; while there I looked, and sure enough, there's TFs on the shelf (granted only 3 boxes) but no SW boxes.

The TF Attacktix look great, but I want my Transformers to transform as capnfalcon222 said.
Maybe if they add more Transormed forms of characters I'd be more interested. Or if Hasbro is clever enough to make the figs transform while on their base (doubtful).

Before the TF ones came out, I really had no interest in the game (mainly because my interest in SW has slowly died down over the last 10 or so years). But, having a huge sense of devotion to the Transformers made it no longer possible for me to ignore this great game! I love the TF from all generations, and to see characters that I know and love in a collectible TF game (finally!), is good enough of an excuse, for me, to buy these ones. All I can say is give it a try before you decide on liking or not. It'd be a shame to miss out on all the possible fun, just because not all of them transform.

Or if Hasbro is clever enough to make the figs transform while on their base (doubtful). If you play they game they incorperate the "transform" action into play. You dont physically TRANSFORM your figures but you do use another version of them (ie. when skyblast plane dies, skyblast the figure comes into play from your backups). I think that was a really cool way to incorperate "transforming." I will repeat: there is a market for a cool transformers themed game and I think this is a great first step.

Agreed and I hope they do this for other transfomers. But this brings up a interesting question. What about transformers that can combine?(e.g. Devastator)

I don't know about the official #'s ($) from Hasbro, but where I live it is just as hard to find Transformers as it is Star Wars. They both sell really fast.

A way for combiners to combine(like Optimus and Wingsaber)is to latch onto each other sort of like the Emperor. But one problem is that only 2 man combiners can work.

Remember this is a GAME about strategy and skill, NOT about transforming figures. I don't think one exists, but if you bought a TF Chess Set, you would not expect the figures to transform, because you are PLAYING CHESS, not playing "transformations" I mean, like Phoenix said, busts/statues don't transform, because that is their purpose. These don't transform... but they have a power that allows them to "transform". If it was a card game it would be impossible to transform, unless you are a master or Oragami. Well this is like a 3-D CCG, mixed with chess... and it's fine the way it is. There is a whole line of "transforming" toys that are perfect for just that. But as one of our new members said, word of mouth with spread, and these will catch on. It is an AWESOME game... but only if you LIKE to PLAY games. Those that like the challenge of Transforming are perfectly normal and in their rights, but they may not like this game. The fans will come. No worries!

But as one of our new members said, word of mouth will spread, and these will catch on. The fans will come. No worries! I think this is already starting to be the case because I have noticed over the past week it has been just as hard to find TF boosters as it is to find SW boosters.

Transformers fans need not worry. It'll be well after the movie before Hasbro stops supporting TF Attacktix.

Transformers fans need not worry. It'll be well after the movie before Hasbro stops supporting TF Attacktix. Well the good news is, unlike Star Wars, Hasbro has a solid lock on the TF license. I am unsure of the whole Takara involvement, but I am pretty certain that GI Joe and TF are free licenses for Hasbro... so as long as the line keeps selling maybe they will stay around long enough for Transformers II!!! Star Wars is also wrapped up til 2010 or so, so really, it's more a matter of when they can make ALL the figures they plan too, since I HOPE that happens before the interest dies out!

Around my area, the TF boosters are just as scarce as SW ones Even though in the beginning it was mostly because of ME! (There are 3 Targets surrounding my house, all approx. 15-30 minutes away. I found the TF/SW4 boosters at these stores first, and snatched up all the TF ones as soon as I saw them! 12 from the 1st store, 9 from the 2nd, and 12 again from the last store......... I know.......I'm a greedy obsessive collector......but my collection is complete because of it!)
Anyways enough about my mental issues.....
The point is, now that all of the stores have had a chance to re-stock themselves from my raid, the boosters (TF and SW alike) still seem to be moving just as steadily.

I haven't got any TF's because... (1) I don't have the money for both kinds, I've got kids to feed and a house payment. (2) I would rather they be the Older TF's from the 80's. Then I couldn't resist! (3) If I get one booster I will Have to GET THEM ALL! Are Attacktix made of crack or what? + (see Point #1) ATTACKTIX boosters are like a woman: They Look Good, They Smell Good, They taste good, They Shoot Missiles, They TiX, They cost money, and once you have had one you'll want open another! And another! And another! Sorry about that...
But the same three TF's boosters have been sitting at my Wal-Mart for weeks. But I'm tempted to get them just because I can't find any SW boosters and I NEED MY FIX!
