We're hitched! ;D After a LONG year of wedding planning, MM and I took the plunge on Sunday, October 19, 2008! We had an outdoor ceremony, and the weather provided us with a picture perfect Autumn day! Our very small bridal party consisted of my brother Michael ( Himura297) as Anna's Man of Honor, the two of us, and my best friend Jason ( reallyniceguy) as my Best Man. ...Watch the horror on our faces as we await a brutal serving of thrown wedding rice! Once it came time for the reception, we moved the party indoors and everyone was treated to a night in the life of a vegan. Our caterer, The Quiet Storm, served up a 100% delicious, 100% animal-free dining experience, complete with wedding cake! I think everyone was pleasantly surprised to see how tasty food can be without meat and dairy! The wedding cake (wedding cupcakes, to be exact) were topped with 2 very appropriate characters... Silverbolt & Blackarachnia! ...And no reception would be complete without a nice big family photo! Team Wombat & Chips! From left to right: Larry ( LarimusPrime), Gerard "G-Man" (Anna's Dad), Anna, Me , Jason ( reallyniceguy), Michael ( Himura297), and Troy ( SinisterSyndicater) A HUGE thanks to everyone that made our day possible, especially Troy who's services included (but extended far beyond) photography, decorating, and manual labor! What a life saver! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted 10-20-07 Just making a thread for this small announcement... MIDNIGHT MAJICK AND I ARE NOW ENGAGED!!! ;D Yesterday marked the 6th year since we first started dating, so I "popped the question" last night. We're high school sweethearts, and I couldn't imagine anyone more perfect for me, so I just wanted to share this exciting news with everyone! ;D

Wow, congratulations! To quote the Princess Bride, "Mawwiage is what brings us together today." Well, I don't know what to say, but I wish you two the best of luck with your marriage. Even though it's still a long way off for me, heaven knows I've thought a lot about my future marraige. Again, congrats!

Congrats!!!! My wife and I have been together since 17/18 respectively, met at her high school, and have been married 11 years now. It can be done, even today in the world of sin, Vegas weddings and philandering fools. We're proof.
There is nothing better than knowing "she is the one" and I am so very happy for you both. May God bless your marriage and give you both long life and great times as long as you both shall live.
Rule #1. Never stop having sex. ever. (with your spouse) Rule #2. No strippers at the bachelor(ette) party. Rule #3. Open bar at the reception - the friends that show up will be friends forever. Rule #4-10. Refer to rule #1.

Well, you didn't specify if she said yes or not! Congrats, whens the big day? I have been married now for 13 years and can tell you that communication is by far the biggest key to making it successful. It takes time to get the balance of when to speak and when to not. Remember, it's never a bad time to just shut up. With that, refer to Superfly's #1. for anymore advice. ;D Longer we've been married, the better it's gotten. It never amazes me with how grouchy her and I can be at one another that once we do the ''deed'' we are both completely content with one another.

Many congratulations and I wish you both a happy marriage and future together. One thing, though. I dare you to forsake the traditional "bride and groom" on top of the cake and replace them with custom painted Tix figures. I'd crack up at the sight of a tuxedo Battle Ravage and wedding gown Leia (or whatever, not many good female Tix figures ) on top of a wedding cake ;D. If you'd rather stick with the traditional, at least have them nearby or something . Anyways, all dorkiness aside, I'll say once more: many congrats!

Well, you didn't specify if she said yes or not! If she hadn't, they wouldn't be engaged, now would they? Then again, I've seen sitcoms that use the "We're engaged! (as soon as she says yes)" plot, so I guess it is possible that he just took her shock as a positive sign. She is conspicuously absent... Congrats, DonP! Sounds like you two have years of happiness ahead of you. Now then, we're all invited, right? ;D

Instead of throwing rice we could all shoot tix up into the air above you guys. ;D Nah, think of figures that actually throw things...like Chirpa and curling or Hulk and "power throwing" Anyway, congratulations to you two! I'll not suggest any marital tips or Tix-related paraphernalia. Instead, I'll just vicariously bask in your pre-marital glow.

Well, you didn't specify if she said yes or not! Congrats, whens the big day? She did say yes, and as for the a date... we'll have to get back to you on that! We're both still kinda coming back down from the excitement of this past weekend, but I'm sure we'll start our planning soon enough! Anakin and Padme would be cute.... aside from the whole "Padme dying" thing, and Anakin being changed into a cyborg killing-machine! Hmmm... maybe not. We've always talked about straying from the "traditional". Actually, we've talked about having Silverbolt and Blackarachnia on top of our cake! ;D Now then, we're all invited, right? ;D If you guys would be willing to make the trek to PA, then I'd say that alone earns you an invitation! Instead of throwing rice we could all shoot tix up into the air above you guys. ;D Nah, think of figures that actually throw things...like Chirpa and curling or Hulk and "power throwing" Good ideas! Hey, congratulations, you two! Where are you registered? Hasbrotoyshop.com? Hmmm.... You may have something there! Maybe I could convince Hasbro to release SW-S5/TF-S2/MV-S2 in our honor! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions guys! We'll be sure to keep you informed once we get this ball rolling! ;D

We talked about having Silverbolt and Blackarachnia on top of our cake! ;D That would be the greatest cake topper in the history of everything. My wife and I decided to go without a topper at all. We couldn't find one that had the right blend of whimsy and class. For some reason, Olivia didn't like the 'bride with shotgun' topper. Way to go, duder! My psyche teacher said that it takes 6 to 7 years to create a good bond, so you two gonna do well! This may be jumping the gun, but Jesse is a great name for a kid. Just saying.

Sorry for my delay in thanking all of you. I have been a bit held up staring at my left hand. As for the date we will keep you all posted. If we can we will have a giant outdoor picnic type thing so that no one is excluded. I still like the Silverbolt and Blackarachnia deal the best, but a Han and Leia idea is in the back of my mind, too for a cake. We have been stuck on saying "Mawwiage" and wondering how much we would have to pay someone to talk like that for the ceremony. Throwing missiles would make me sad, I would be really mad if we lost some. So I think maybe just some birdseed then we don't have to clean anything up. As for a registry I told DoNP that we have to pick Target or something like it so we can put toys on the list.
Thanks again guys for all the advice and good wishes.
