As some of you know I am a type I diabetic, as are my brother his daughter and our late grandmother. This next Saturday is the JDRF's annual Walk to Cure Diabetes raising money for diabetes research. My wife LadyBritannia and some friends and I are walking at our local venue. If anyone would like to help us raise money for the event you can go to: walk.jdrf.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=extranet.personalpage&confirmid=86771699Many thanks! Little Anna and I from last year's Walk

That would be helpful. I don't know if he'll be there, but the local 501st have been there in force the last couple years so you never know. The walk is tomorrow (Saturday) Thanks to all those that contributed.

Yes, we did, it was a nice sunny, but not too hot morning there in the park and river walk. My team was a little smaller than originally hoped (another couple was going to be SuperGirl and Batman) because Robin (their baby) had them up all night. All in all it was good though. If anyone wants to help out they can still make a tax deductible donation on the link, thanks! They had a boy with diabetes sing Over the Rainbow and then all the children released their balloons and the walk started.

Well Team IONIC DESIGN is getting things together for this year's Walk to Cure Diabetes. It should be fun to have the 501st back this year. There are a handful of diabetics on the forum and many of you know someone who has diabetes. All contributions all help, with more than 85% of our expenditures going directly to research and education about research, to find a cure so that many people, like myself, no longer have to lance themselves to check blood sugar and take injections throughout the day as well. If anyone is interested in the team or would like to help, information can be found and donations made by clicking the link below, thanks. walk.jdrf.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=extranet.personalpage&confirmid=87042712
