Hey gang, welcome to the Toy Shop! As you can tell by the great threads about game play variations and future figures, Attacktix lends itself to creativity. I've had a few ideas rattling around for awhile and I thought I'd share them with you. Think of them as figure mods, but instead of paint & clay I'll use ones & zeros. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________I've always thought it would be cool if our Jedi figures could multi-task. You know, in the movies they can swing a lightsaber one second and force-blast someone the next. But a figure that was both a striker and a force-blaster would just be crazy. Just swinging the saber with the extra weight of the huge arm and missile would be ridiculous. Plus you might be able to strike an opponent with your force-blast missile. Just a mess for one figure... but what about two? I give you.... Luminara Unduli & Barriss OffeeHow do they work? Well, as you can see, Luminara is a striker and Barriss is a force-blaster. Here's what the Star Wars Databank has to say: "Barriss Offee was loyal Padawan paired with Jedi Master Luminara Unduli, Barriss Offee stayed close to her mentor's side whether during important meetings with the Supreme Chancellor, or in the thick of combat during the outbreak of the Clone Wars. In combat, Barriss specialized in tandem fighting. Her connection to the Force allowed her to perfectly synchronize her actions with that of her Master."In the movies we never really got to see these two kick any tandem arse, but fans of the Clone Wars cartoon will remember these two defending a Jedi Temple on the frosty world of Illum against some nasty probe droids. These two deserve to be fighting together in one form or another on the 'tix battlefield. Plus, as Phoenix will tell you, we need more female figures. Well, that's it for today's Toy Shop! Join us next time for... FORCE JUMP FIGURES (I mean it this time!)

Hmm Not to be mean but it looks stupid to me. I mean its a super awesome idea just nnot with That it would be a waste of 50 points cuase it would be way to top heavy and to hard to use. And would attract so much fire. I am just being a critic most likely cuase you gave little info on how it works. All you did was say it has swing and force but not how it would work. As i said earlyer i love the idea and we do need more female attacktix figures but i dont like how much info you gave about it to us. Sorry if you think im being mean Cuase im not, im just Being a critic.

dude does he really have to explain how strikers aqnd force users work, the top one strikes and the bottem one uses the force. anyway i think its a great idea, bizzare yes but we need to represent some of those less known jedi who many of are much cooler then our usual Anakin and Obi-wan. It would also make a great distraction and would be awesome to have on the field. by the way is it Barriss or Barris cause on the figure you put barris and everywhere else it's Barriss.

I'd vote for this figure being sorta like the AT-RT: both a strike and a shot would count as only one attack. Personally, I'd *love* this figure, as it would basically let me strike first to clear out some room, then shoot to take out enemies that were further back. It would definitely add to my strategic play. Plus, with the stated point value of 50, you'd basically get a free, powerful attack for 10 points! Besides, you'd just keep it up by stacking other figures' bases right up against it. This could be a great frontline figure!
As for the special power, how about Attackback for up to two Jedi?
ETA: I'd never be em-Barriss-ed to have this figure!

It probably goes without saying but I do like this figure! I would probably use it constantly. I like Yodabreaker's idea for an attackback too. ;D ;D
These ladies were awesome in clone wars! Very fitting they would be put together.

Grievous with gun and saber would be awesome. Give him all four arms and have only his top half strike while his bottom has the blaster (large missile, but not the standard Grievous missile). Special, when he dies is replaced by Grievous with only a gun to represent him losing the saber.

I should change my surname to SFX FAN because I love his ideas and creativity with this stuff!
I do like this concept and idea a lot, but find a few flaws in the design as presented. Granted this is a concept and once given over to the Hasbro Engineers this would all be ironed out.
I have given much praise and do like this concept, but I have to point out a few flaws as I see it. Based on the picture, I feel as though the striker attack is too high. This does not seem to be an optimal striker figure to me.
I can also see some confusion in the rules for the Attack. Once you strike can you move the figure to aim your force shooter? This would contradict one of the most basic Attacktix rules.
Like I say though. Keep em comin and you are on to something here again. I just think that a few minor adjustements or tweaks may be needed before I would use it in battle.
I do love the concept and creativity though, and I certainly don't see me coming up with anything close to your brilliance so please take my suggestions with a grain of salt and not as any real criticism.

Sorry if you think im being mean Cuase im not, im just Being a critic. take my suggestions with a grain of salt and not as any real criticism. No worries guys! I appriciate any and all feedback. it would be a waste of 50 points cuase it would be way to top heavy Actually they would be just the opposite. With Barriss low in the front the center of gravity would be very low. Think of them as one solid sculpture, and Barris is like Palp's robes or Yoda's rock but with even more mass. They would be very hard to knock over. But I can see how it would look top heavy. It has to to with the images used to make the picture. See my reply to Lonestar down below. And I probally should of put in some more game play info, but as a neat side-effect just look at all the cool ideas people came up with by me leaving alot of blanks for them to fill in. would attract so much fire. Then you could use them as bait to draw your opponent out and attack them with another figure. by the way is it Barriss or Barris cause on the figure you put barris and everywhere else it's Barriss. It's Barriss. Figures the one place I would spell it wrong would be on the finished piece of art. But the star wars databank makes the same mistake a few times, so I don't feel so bad about it. Those aliens and their crazy names! I'd vote for this figure being sorta like the AT-RT: both a strike and a shot would count as only one attack. Actually I originally thought of them as a one attack or the other. Like Lonestar said... Once you strike can you move the figure to aim your force shooter? This would contradict one of the most basic Attacktix rules. But you (Yodabreaker) have a point about the AT-RT and multiple attacks. Too bad Hasbro hasn't cleared up the whole 'can I move the AT-RT to re-aim after every shot?' yet. And with the joy of house rules they could attack in any darn way our devilish minds can come up with. As for the special power, how about Attackback for up to two Jedi? Yep, I was thinking Attackback as well. Perhaps for only one Jedi. 2 Jedi would be cool, but I'd worry about the figure(s) getting too expensive. The one attack or the other would also help keep the cost down. Your next assignment.......Grievous with a saber and a gun Grievous with gun and saber would be awesome. Give him all four arms and have only his top half strike while his bottom has the blaster (large missile, but not the standard Grievous missile). Special, when he dies is replaced by Grievous with only a gun to represent him losing the saber. Awesome ideas guys. That would be really cool!! Based on the picture, I feel as though the striker attack is too high. This does not seem to be an optimal striker figure to me. Yea, Luminara is kinda high. Most of these designs are just loose sketches and the original photos I use dictate how they end up looking. The base photo was of a new statue of Luminara and Barris in their Clone Wars cartoon mode. So it was highly stylized and stretched out. Like you said, if something like this was produced it would be up to the engineers to figure the actual mechanics. I'm more of an idea guy. Thanks for all of the feedback gang! I'm glad you are diggin' my stuff. And it's all good if you're not. I have fun making these and am thrilled that they are generating conversation... good or bad. My main goal is to get some fun give and take and to get the ideas and creativity flowing. Heck, just with this quickie of a post we've come up with an idea for a cool Grievous figure. Stay tuned, there's more fun on the way!

I have to say that your dual figure is an incredibly creative/well thought out idea. It's too bad you don't work for Hasbro! By the way, is there any way for any of us to get ahold of Hasbro's R&D so that they might actually use some input from this message forum? It would be really great to get them to read this site!

These are just the digital brainchildren of sfx5000's exceedingly fertile mind. As such, they don't exist as physical figures. However, they might prove to be inspirational for customizers or manufacturers!
