I'll bet LOTR and POTC get no votes. This is a Star Wars website, after all.

Okay, okay, I'll be the odd one. Star Wars is awesome---no doubt---but Lord of the Rings, because of its rootedness in Tolkien's broad knowledge of literature, exhibits a far deeper and better developed mythology. (In both cases, I'm referring not only to the movies but also to the books. If we're talking about movies alone, I would readily admit that Star Wars is best.)
George Lucas drew his mythology mostly from a secondary source---the works of Joseph Campbell, read from a Jungian perspective. (There are also some Asian influences, but these stem mainly from various films, not from the complex foundational myths of Japanese culture.) Tolkien, on the other hand, created his mythology from a vast array of primary sources, especially the foundational legends of Norse and Anglo-Saxon cultures. As a result, Tolkien's alternate reality is immensely more creative and less derivative than Lucas'.
As for Pirates of the Caribbean, I was so bored by the first movie that I wasn't even able to finish watching it. So, I can't really comment with any degree of fairness on that.
I probably just lost all my midichlorians by stating that ... but, oh well.
