I would like to know who will buy this game when it comes out Feb. 7, 06. Also tell me why?
Also you can talk freely about this game here!

I NEVER buy PC games, so unless it comes out for a console sometime in the near future, I probably won't buy it. It DOES look incredible, though.

I agree with you, Radar. The number of times I've had to reboot my PC is simply ridiculous. Huzzah for XBox!

No thanks, xBox only for me. -Radar I take it, then, that you haven't been the recipient of a crash-prone XBox 360? ;D And at this stage of OS development, PCs are much more resistant to crashing than they used to be (e.g., they should no longer use the same memory spaces for separate applications). Memory problems are often solved by getting good memory, rather than the cheap chips that are usually sold for deep discount prices in electronics chains. The viruses are generally so prevalent...well, because of a) the popularity of Windows and b) the development model Microsoft uses (closed source; integration of multiple separate types of applications - e.g., Windows, Internet Explorer, MS Office - into the OS, thus allowing vulnerabilities in one application to affect the whole OS). Now that video game consoles have online connectivity, it's only a matter of time before virus-like entities start infecting them, too. Plus, the hardware in PCs can be upgraded much more easily to accommodate the most recent games, compared to the ease of upgrading gaming consoles. However, I've gotta give makers of recent consoles credit for trying to maintain backwards compatibility so that old games can be played on new systems. I think PlayStation2 set a fabulous precedent that way.

Oh, I would say the PC pwnz consoles on backwards compatability! I can still pop in a floppy from '92 on my brand new PC and use whatever's on it. Of course, now having a floppy drive is optional these days... You can also emulate just about anything up to the PS2 from any game system. 2600, Intellivision, C64, SNES, Genesis, N64, Saturn, Playstation and last, but not least the goodness that is MAME.
