Sure. They both use tags. Let's say you wanted a link to Yahoo. You'd simply use this tag, ommiting the '*'s' I used to prevent the message board from actualling linking it: [*url][/url*]. Right after the first url in that tag add in an '=', along with the full web address of your link, including the http:// part. Inbetween the '][' part is where you would name the link itself. In this example, let's just use the word 'Yahoo'. If done correctly, the end result would look like this: YahooImages are pretty much the same deal. The tag to post an image in a post is: [*img][/img*]. This time you don't need an = added, simply put the full web address of your image, including the http:// part, in between the '][' part again. If done correctly, the end result would look like this: Hopefully that helps. It sounds more complicated than it actually is, really. It's all about practise. Also, keep in mind you can actually use the buttons in the "Add Tags" section above each post reply or new post window to create the tags for you, then you simply have to fill in the blanks!

Here is what it will look like on the inside (I stole this code right from Meepo, so it's the SAME explanation)
TEXT LINK

Thanks Joe - it's tough to explain that when you can't type it out longhand without it actually going and doing what it is designed to do!

Consider it part of your mod training. The

is a well kept secret. Look for it under the #pound sign#

Ahh, of course! I was going to ask you, but instead thought I'd fumble around for a few hours until I accidently stumbled across that trick. Now I have too much time on my hands

Yep, you can upload the picture from your personal files to a site like ImageShack, which will then give you a link for you to paste into the forum code.

i can't figure out what, if anything, i'm doing wrong or are my images showing up i just can't see them? That's a big picture It didn't work because you weren't linking to the picture, you were actually linking to a webpage. It's a webpage because of the "my.php" I just went to the page, viewed the source, and got the actual url of the image that way: img166.imageshack.us/img166/2316/mikesbike0018vr.jpg

That's the point of "ghost flames' right? I can see them after I ran a filter in Photoshop. Very subtle, very nice!
