mr malform... PWEI!!! whoo hoo!! i had to stop reading the rest of the thread in order to resond to this... one of the all tym best bands!!! little does everyone know they pioneerd the techno and electonica waves.. great great... ive got a whole shelf dedicated to these guys...
my CD collection spans nearly 100 years, two walls, and various piles... nearing 5000 items (not including LPs and tapes) i prefer anything thats good.. which is to say i stay away from pop 40 or 'mainstream' music... sappy country, poppy hip hop, divas, boy bands, and little girls are NOT in my collection.. everything else is.. my mostly favorites are zappa zappa again, CAN n. young lou reed and the velvets. king crimson beatles miles davis grant green funkadelic blackalicious mos def modest mouse (pre-sony) notwist new model army cure pixies mars volta bloc party dead milkmen built to spill flaming lips galaxie 500/luna anything on the elephant 6, rough trade, sst, minty fresh, matador, sole sides record lables.. litmus (thats my band!!) burnkit2600 (i work with these guys) morningside (more friends) ohh so many more.. but i wont bore ya'll with it...

i have "the sickness" i just can't get into them as much as some of my other favorites but, i do love their cover of tears for fears "shout". now if you want to hear some sick metal look up strapping young lad, whew, those guys are disturbed. the album "the city" is the best. look for the song "detox".

Boba Fett if you like strapping young lads, check out Mudvayne it's a different form of metal but has some great beat to it.
Edit: Determined has some of the worst language you will hear in a song but has an awesome tune and beat.
And, Happy? is an awesome song and one of my personal favorites.

i like some bands such as franz ferdinand, the killers, seether, sum 41, velvet revolver, guns n roses, metallica, megadeth, alter bridge, trust company, queens of the stone age and others. BUT TWO OF THE WORST BANDS EVER ARE COLDPLAY AND U2

Moving this here from the other thread ...
Favorite music, with favored albums by each artist ...
U2 (All That You Can't Leave Behind) King's X (Gretchen Goes to Nebraska) Switchfoot (Beautiful Letdown) Extreme (III Sides to Every Story) John Coltrane (A Love Supreme) Van Halen (Balance) Rich Mullins (A Liturgy, A Legacy, and a Ragamuffin Band) Van Morrison (Avalon Sunset) Delirious? (World Service) Metallica (Black album)
I know, I have really weird musical tastes ... but I prefer the phrase "radically eclectic."
