I'm a U2 nut, myself. Though I've also seen Eric Clapton and Sarah McLachlan in concert, and I'm known in my lab for having the most eclectic MP3 collection of anyone there. I think they're glad I work from home now.

do you have satellite radio (xm or sirius)? they have entire channels devoted to that kind of music. xm has fungus and unsigned and the lab, you would love the music they play on there and it's all commercial free. i have two xm units.

bobafett, I am beginning to think that we are of one like mind!
I am with you almost all the way. I do get a little tired of Rap, but like 50 cent and some of those when I am REALLY in the mood.
There is a time and place for Classical and Jazz, New Age and Pop, but my two mainstays are Rock and Country.
You hit my two current top cds Audioslave and Big n Rich. Some of my current Alt favs include Evanescence, Velvot Revolver, Saliva, Nickleback, Seether, and Three Doors Down. My Country favs include Big n Rich, Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith, and Tim McGraw.
Enya is AWESOME, and soundtracks like LOTR and of coarse Star Wars are also cool when you are in the mood.
I almost forgot my all time classic rock favs like VAN HALEN (with David Lee of coarse the only real Van Halen). Queensryche, Metallica, & ect.

hey, lonestar, i picked up an original star wars soundtrack on of all things, eight track. along with kiss- love gun, and yes i have a working eight track player. i used to have every enya album up to 1998 which i believe was like three or four, but she was also in a celtic group, the name which escapes me at moment, but they are really good too. i think she lists them in the liner notes of orinocco flow.

Yea I know, whatever mood you are feeling they have it. Every song is my favorite but some I listen to more are: "Clumsy," "All for you," "Automatic Flowers." If I am in a really bad mood than that is where Disturbed comes in ;D.

My parents had a eight track deck in our old 7something caddy (around the time of the original Star Wars), but they had mostly Elvis stuff. I never had a deck in the house. My aunt did, but we only had vinyl. I have most of the Enya stuff as well, but I wasn't aware about her previous band. I will have to check that out. Thanks. I do like most of the celtic stuff that I have heard, so that would be worth my while. hey lonestar witch audioslave the first or second? i think the first is better but thats just my opinion. i like a bunch of rock and some rap but not much country, classical, or jazz. I like them both and more often then not I find that I like a bands first album the best, but I was referring to the new Audioslave cd as being in my car at the moment. New country is more like soft rock and I always liked ballads, so it is similar just with a fiddle or steel guitar. Classical and Jazz was more of an aquired taste where I usually enjoy the surroundings and experiances associated with them. Like going out to dinner at a FINE restaurant. Going to a formal dinner party. ect.

thats why i love big-n-rich, deadwood mountain gets me every time, especially since i was there this year when we went to south dakota. and i love "my real world", most people immediately think "save a horse, ride a cowboy" which is good but, they have better on the cd. now when i'm down it's mostly our lady peace but, when i'm grumpy (quite a bit lately with work slowly killing me) it's anything industrial: korn, marilyn manson, rob zombie and nine inch nails or just audioslave really loud, like gasoline.
