I post to much don't I? But I wanted a thread about sabers people actually have and why they chose them. If you have create you own please describe in detail.
My saber is green with qui-gon's handle and two inches shorter then the standered plastic saber for some reason. I chose green because look rocked and so did yoda and Qui-gon did and his handle was the only one at the time.

I have one of the make your owns...Its pretty simple. Stripped down (Nothing on the handle) with vader's emiter. Imo able to use it without hinderance of items on the handle is better than one that looks cool but has issues.

Better to paint a whiffle-ball bat. That stings much more and has some serious welt-leaving abilities. Dad used to make his points with them. FYI for the sword-collectors: go to www.cheaperthandirt.com and sign up for their brochure. LOTS of cool stuff and a lot of cheap, but cool looking, swords and axes; medieval looking and fantasy.

I own five lightsabers.
The first three are simple non-lightup sabers from '02. I have two based off Obi-Wan's handle but they have green and purple blades. My favorite of the three is my Qui-Gon hilt, red saber.
Next I have an electronic Anakin lightaber from the "Clone Wars" line. I mostly got this because I needed a blue saber to complete my lineup.
Finally, I have the Build Your Own Lightsaber kit. My favorite set up is to slide on the the slim pieces that don't have jutting parts, therefore allowing an easy grip. I also like to leave the white blade blank and use my patented Whitesaber. Sound like I'm Elmer Fudd when I call it that but I think it's cool looking.
