The Ewoks, on the planet Endor- with a GIANT DeathStarll over head. Destruction of the DeathStar was a celibration- but what happen to the planet when the Rebels left, think about it- does the debree of the giant planet sized wepon vanish? An Endor Ewok Holocaust is never a solid thing in any Expanded Universe and can only be considerd. What do YOU think happen? starwars.wikicities.com/wiki/Endor_Holocaust

I don't know. I would be curious to find the size of both the planet (I thought it was a moon) Endor and the Death star. That would have an effect on the gravitational pull. The distance between the two would be factor on how much of the Death star fell onto Endor. The Death Star seemed like a solidly constructed station. I would assume when blown up, large pieces would stay intact. These pieces would probably not be burnt up on entry to the planet. My other concern is would these pieces start forest fires? Things seem to catch on fire on entry.

It depends on how much of the Deathstar fell to Endor. Even if it burned up on entry... the weight of the planet still goes up the same amount as it would have, if it didn't burn up. So, increased weight=increased gravity... possibly throwing Endor out of it's orbit.

Of course, there is minimal concern in the Star Wars universe for what would happen scientifically anyway---in a vacuum environment, ships and battle stations explode outward in fire instead of imploding with a brief puff as the remaining air feeds the flames within the ship or station ... debris from exploding ships follows a decaying arc of the sort that one would see within an atmosphere ... Anakin and Obi-Wan are still breathing after Grievous shatters the window of his ship and escapes, Grievous is able to swing around on a taut rope ... and on and on and on.

In Dark Empire (graphic novel) When Luke, Leia, and Han take out the imperal walkers in the begining, there's a few ewoks with the rebs. EDIT: This links sheds some light on the subject www.theforce.net/swtc/holocaust.html
