It is the typical conclusion of the small-minded that money is the measure of any and all success. If Marvel earns billions of dollars with repetitive, formula based movies, then Disney is in fact successful and there is nothing to complain about. However, even financial success comes at a great cost and it is blatantly apparent that the monetary success of Marvel, as owned by Disney, means the death knell is sounding for the traditions that made Disney more than a just a company in the first place. The financial success and constant flow of cash without having to create good films or works of art means that the artistic driven imagineering pioneered by Disney is now on the way out.
