Oh, yeah, another thing. The spoilers I read about the movie really bum me out. So much for an awe-inspiring Galactus Mega...

Well I heard that a cloud or something appeared in the shape of Galactus, so that could indicate that he'll show up in sequel and we'll therefore have our inevitable Galactus Mega.

I think that they should round the 4 off with Mr. Fantastic, torch, and invisible women. With of course a flying style silver surfer, and a bonus Dr. Doom like the decepticlone of the tf starter.

That wouldn't make much sense, why would they put in Mr Fantastic and Human Torch if they're already making them in Maverl S2? Also, putting Dr Doom as a bonus figure seems very strange since he hasn't even showed up in any regular set, it's simply wishful thinking. Although, I agree when you say Invisible Woman and Silver Surfer, but unfortunately I don't think we'll be seeing any Starter Set for this movie.

Silver Surfer was bad ass... it's a shame those GR Starter Sets STILL sitting at Walmarts are probably the reason we won't see a F4 Starter Set. I liked GR the Movie, but as far as toys go, this one is MUCH more marketable... 6 awesome super-powered figures as opposed to GR and the elementals

As someone who has repeatedly passed on the GR set, I would have picked up a F4 starter set immediately.

The lack-luster sales of GR Starter has probably put a cramp in the future of mutable starters. GR was a bad example for Hasbro to base their products on, Because it look like a lot of GR merch. sat on the shelves. But The TF Starter also sat on the shelves at my local Target & Wal-Mart. So who is to know what to make of it.

I think the Ghost Rider set is just too blah-looking (brown, brown, and more brown) for the average toy shopper. It looks so grim and unfun next to all the other colorful sets and packaging. Plus, the characters are just not recognizable enough to provoke an impulse purchase.

Plus, the characters are just not recognizable enough to provoke an impulse purchase. Having recognizable characters probably does have a lot to do with Starter sales. I'm not sure about other areas, but around here the SW-S4 starter sold out first, then Marvel, then TF, and the GR set is still sitting on the shelf now. SW-S4: Who doesn't know Han and Chewie!?! Boba and Greedo are also very recognizable. Marvel: Everyone knows Spiderman, Green Goblin, and Wolverine. Some may not know of Sabretooth. TF: Only a devout TF fan would really know who these guys are. Sure, Overhaul and Dirtboss were from the most recent series, but Skyblast was from a series than ran about 4 years ago. GR: Other than the Ghost himself, these guys are mostly unheard of. When choosing figures to put in a Starter, it would be wise to put the "cream of the crop" in the set. TF-S2, for example, has the VERY recognizable Optimus Prime and Megatron, and SW-S5 has a good bunch also. I predict these 2 sets will sell at a decent pace, and perhaps they'll even sell out before the GR set is finally off the shelves.

Everyone in the world knows Han and Chewie and ESPECIALLY Boba because like General Grievous, he is an extremely popular "side" character. I must say that they didn't pick the best guys for the Transformers. Overhaul was a major character in the show since he is also Leobreaker, who still hasn't shown up but Dirtboss? He shows up for a few of the race episodes and disappears. Also, Transformers Energon isn't 4 years old, it's 2-3 years although I see what you mean, and Skyblast was only a worker in the show, they shold've used someone like Wing Saber from the Cybertron series. Marvel, ya all unknown for the GR SS. The next Starter Sets are pretty good, especially the TF and Marvel ones, not too sure about SW with the arm-flailing Vader and all. But they will all do better then the current ones.

We used to have some TF starters and the TF Mega... but I bought out the mega and the starters slowly vanished. As for a FF starter... booyah!!! This is what DVD releases are for (yeah toy marketing!)
