Does anyone think they'll make a special starter much like the Spider-Man Origins Starter Set for the new upcoming movie Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer? My idea is they will make a Silver Surfer figure almost exactly like the Green Goblin, with the flying effect, and they will fill in the missing member of the Fantastic Four they haven't made yet. What do you think?

I am kinda hoping for a tournament set with them in it, but a starter set would be cool too.

I don't get the difference. Help me here..aren't tournament sets all silver, and starter sets normal? Or are the tournament sets normal colored too?

Starter Sets = 4 figures (normal bases) Tournament Sets = 2 figures / 2 Megas (normal bases) and the Father to the Tournament Sets, the Intergalactic Showdown Set, had 4 figures / 2 Megas (silver bases) and the Grandfather to the Tournament Sets, the Attcktix Gift Set, had 3 figures (gold bases) / 1 Mega (normal base) and a 3 figure booster (normal bases)

Give me a starter set any day of the week as opposed to the Tournament set. I think it would be awesome. But with the movie less than a week away, I am not sure if we are going to see it.

NO, the Intergalatic Showdown HAD gold bases not silver as did the 3 gold figs in the FIRST tourny set.

NO, the Intergalatic Showdown HAD gold bases not silver as did the 3 gold figs in the FIRST tourny set. You are correct sir. But that "FIRST" set wasn't called a Tournament set. The only "silver" bases are on tournament prize figures and the "silvery/chrome" chrome based figures that come in the boosters for every series and universe (star wars, transformers, marvel)

Yes indeed is anyone else surprised that there isn't something Attacktix related released with the new movie, I would have thought that was a no brainer for Hasbro?

I don't know what's currently going down at Hasbro but they don't seem to care too much about Attacktix recently. First of all I'd think that since they own the Marvel license it'd be a perfect oppurtunity to make some Fantastic 4 figures for Attacktix, Invisible Woman, Silver Surfer, a Doombot and Dr Doom all in a starter set. And secondly we've been waiting for SW5 and TF2 for quite a while and they're still not here. I wonder what's going on down there, do they not care about Attacktix anymore?

I've been hearing a whole lot of disenchantment with Hasbro lately. From rules being wrong to SW5/TF2 having too many repaints/retools to "why haven't they shipped yet?"
While I agree that they missed their shot with Fantastic Four and could easily have figured out something to go in here, I'd bet that they felt they've already saturated the Marvel market lately with Series 1, Spider-Man, and Ghost Rider. Adding yet another starter to that group would be a bit much.
Now, the main thing with people wondering about release dates is that they're actually right about on schedule. Generally, it has taken 4-6 months between series releases. Marvel came out in January. That means SW5 and TF2 are right about on schedule as long as they come out by July.

That means SW5 and TF2 are right about on schedule as long as they come out by July. This is true but aren't the Intergalactic Showdown Packs (SW and TF) supposed to have their own release dates, separate from Marvel? Although SW and TF are two sets, they don't have many more figures then the S1-S3 sets so 4-6 months release should be fine. If this is the case this would also mean that they missed the mark a while ago, unless they are deciding to release all the sets on the same day, which would make more sense. But then again, they only revealed the SW5 and TF2 figures on the main website so I'd guess that releasing all three sets at the same time doesn't seem probable.

I can't say that I know the exact release dates but they could very well have SW and TF on their own schedule and Marvel on another with them all set up as "Attacktix". In other words, they release SW/TF this summer, Marvel this Christmas, and then continue ad infinitum. They also could release all THREE series at once and then continue the "Six Months" rule with all three being released at once. Finally, they could change to a four months schedule with each individual line getting their own release timing (SW, 4 months, TF, 4 months, MV, 4 months, repeat).
Basically, scheduling is going to be pretty odd now that we have three series and two of them being released at the same time and then a wild card that might or might join up with those two series. However, if they just view everything as "Attacktix", we are right on schedule for SW and TF.
Man, if anyone actually understood that, they're smarter than I.

Here is what we need: Invisiible Woman Silver Surfer (Fantastic Four Class) Doctor Doom & Doom Bot.
We also need a mega of the Fantasticar. That would be Fantastic!
