Hey all,
I just wanted to ask about something that I'm noticing happening a lot in my area. While out on the usual toy hunts I'll occasionally pick up an attacktix booster or two, though I've been noticing several packages being sliced along the side of the box, namely right where the cardboard insert ends. The cuts aren't obvious at first, but look to be made by keys, or instruments obviously not made for cutting. Out of curiosity I've peeked inside some of these but have never seen any missing figures. Unfortunately I haven't seen any Hulks this way either, lol. Anyway, I was just curious if you all come across this regularly in your areas.
Peace!

Boy I can't even get those things open when I buy them(I do use keys sometimes) I havent seen any box cutting at my local stores since the plastic switch. I can't believe people do that kind of thing.

You have a religious quote in your signature line and yet you tried to break into merchandise in a store before you purchased it?

I have a feeling that is is probably the same person cutting into the boosters....
No such vandalisms anywhere here in Tampa.

I have found only 1 booster maybe 2 that were cut into. They were both SW S4. I peeked into one and saw a Vader. Not sure what these bozos were looking for, but they passed on a good Vader. That's ok with me though, he was added to MY collection instead.

I got a Yoda and Darth Vader out of different S1 Boosters (the old easily opened cardboard triangles) that way - by peeking into ones that were already ripped open. I was amazed they weren't bought. The "vandalism" of boxes is way down with these new packages for sure. I recall going to stores where ALL the old triangle boxes were opened (20+ boxes!) - not so anymore.

In a KB near me there were a lot of series 2 cut open boosters, poor triangular boxes they never had a chance. (I bought the boosters because three had DDs, one of which was a chrome base)

That right there has to be one of the best posts I've ever seen on the forum. While I am not much for making judgments one way or the other about someone's personal beliefs and how it reflects upon their actions or character, I did find this 'revelation' quite interesting and ironic myself. There are many that have various beliefs filling our jails. One does not necessarily equate to the other, but we should all look in the mirror and practice what we preach. Lesson learned. Actions speak louder than words. Good eye and post.

And even if i did do soemthing like that
the only human without sin was jesus christ and every person sins and if truly belive in god then you can repent and ask him to forgive your sins
and paul one of jesus desiples wasnt he one of the biggest sinners of all time didnt he kill christians ?? and did he repent of his sins and change his name from saul to paul and and become one of jesus most important desiples??
Everyone sins and anyone can be forgiven because we are all equal in gods eyes

Everyone sins and anyone can be forgiven because we are all equal in gods eyes That's true! I'd rather not see this thread turn into another religious discussion, simply because that's not its intent. We can talk religion in the General Gabbery thread all day. But I'm still going to go ahead and make two quick comments. For one, it did seem very implied that you were doing it in the store, since you then said, "so i just buy them without seeing what i get." I picked up the same implication that sfx did. Secondly (admittedly this could lead to a long discussion), let's not play the "don't judge me, you're a sinner too" card. Christians are called to confront each other about sin in their lives, which requires a judgment call in the first place (James 5:19-20, Galatians 6:1). I don't know sfx's spiritual beliefs, but it's a valid comment nonetheless. I'm not accusing you of tearing up booster boxes, but for anyone who is - I think WalMart would view that as criminal activity. I have a Christian friend who doesn't have a "Jesus fish" on his bumper because he knows his driving isn't a good witness. I'm not saying that's a great thing, but it makes the point that Lonestar made - when you put that in your sig line, you'd better be ready to be scrutinized. I'd gladly start a new thread (or you can) if anyone wants to continue this conversation. Added: Ah, I now see that this thread is locked. Well, I guess we'd definitely have to start a new thread to keep talking!

I hope I didn't offend anyone with my comment. I didn't intend to call anybody out as a thief or a hypocrite. I just realized that what you typed didn't jive with your signature line. It was obviously merely a miss-type on your part. Hopefully "no harm, no foul"
I'm certainly no angel, but try to live my life by the Golden Rule. If this time I slipped I apologize. I'm in no position to cast stones. Which wasn't my intent and I hope it wasn't taken that way.
