Lately I have been spending almost all of my free time working on my new passion, my 1987 jeep Comanche pickup truck. I also have a 2001 Chevrolet cavalier that give me no problems at all, but for a reason that is not obvious to me (I have never been a truck person) I would much prefer to tool around in my clunker. I traded a 1991 Geo prizm for the truck about 6 months ago, and sense that time I have…. Repaired a hole in the drivers side floor board, replaced the oil pan (it was leaking like crazy), replaced the valve cover (also leaking), new starter, new radiator, new rear bumper, re-wired all the lights (they didn’t work), and I had to replace the battery after it almost caught fire. And my near future plans involve replacing both quarter panels, and doing some body work on it; then Im planning on redoing the whole interior. I have also checked into replacing the engine, though I most likely wont until this one dies. Now, a lot of the people I know think Im nuts, trying to “restore” a broken down old truck. But I cant help it, Im compelled, almost like Im on a mission. I was just wondering, is there anyone else on here that has a project car that they are constantly working on?
