So some of you have noticed that S5 has a lot of repaints and Bodies with new heads. Examples of just repaints are Red leader, Yoda, and Battle Droid. But then you have old body with new head (Some place on the boards these have been discussed) Plo Kloon, Qui Gon Jinn, Kit Fisto & At-At Driver. But I don't know if anyone mentioned that Ponda Baba is Captain Antilles and The new Luke has a Rebel Trooper Body and Han Solo Legs.
Some people may have a Problem with hasbro doing this and say its lazy, But I am fine with the Mix and match parts as long as they do a good job of it and that the completely new sculpts are well done. In fact I'm surprised that this is the first time we have seen it, outside of a reused head or two and Outside of the Clones, Most every figure has had a New Gun sculpt. More figures could have the same gun and I wouldn't care one bit. I Just want More Figures, More powers, More thought put into the game and for them to hurry up and get them out.
What do you guys think?

Yeah, I don't really care when the re-tool is done so long as the figure is fun and interesting. I think the Jedi are all fair game for re-mixing parts. I'm waiting for my Kicking Kit Fisto ...Hmm, might have to make a new custom... I do understand how some (others) could get irritated at having a vast amount of clone trooper and storm trooper type figures. They are all basically the same figure. Maybe a good general plan for Hasbro might be to not re-release commons again as commons. For instance, we have another Battle Droid coming out as a common in SW series 5. I could see that getting excessive based on the number of Battle Droids people already have plus the number they will acquire. But I don't think anyone is going to have an issue with Red Leader or Yoda being reused as a Super Rare because they are rare enough that people wont gets lots of them, regardless of if they were common in the past.

Repaints have never really bothered me. Like Darthjarjar said: "I Just want More Figures...". Just get them out there so we can play with them and start collect some new, interesting sets! The Battle Droid repaint in S5 is fine with me. I'm actually glad to see it! We haven't had a Trooper Battle Droid (not counting Supers) since the original in S1, so I think it was due. Clones on the other hand, I could do without more. Just Troopers, there were 2 in S1, 2 in S2, and the Promo with S4. Not to mention the repaints of them as Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc. They need to rest for a few series.

My rule of thumb is that if the part they are re-using for another figure LOOKS like the part they are trying to pass it off as, that's fine with me. If they took a Han Solo body and tried to repaint Luke's flight suit costume over the figure's shape, I would not be okay with that. I don't care about poses that much or parts, I just want a figure that bears a proper resemblence to the character it's meant to portray. If it saves them time getting us new figures, I say more power to them. I'm eager to add some new blood to my collection. I've had to focus on my basic figures more than Tix recently but I get more use out of the tix.
