So last night I was shooting my Slave Leia for fun and trying to see how close I could come to hitting my face without actually hitting it. (Very bad idea ). So I kinda shot it a couple times away from me to judge the distance, then I hold Leia the right distance away. For some reason the string attached to Leia's missile picked THAT shot to come untied. You can guess how surprised I was after I had measured the distance exactly then the missile hit me square between the eyes. Has anyone else had this problem? (well not the getting hit in the face part, but the string coming untied part). I feel like they should have glued the string down or something so that it couldn't come undone.

That must have been quite a surprise...
The harpoon/whatever always used to come untied off of my Slave Leia... This was on some other thread a while ago, but if you tie it back on and then add a little bit of superglue around the knot and where the string meets the harpoon/whatever, it should stay in place. I did this to my Slave Leia about a year ago and it has yet to come untied since.

I've never heard of anyone playing roulette with a Slave Leia... I guess you like living on the edge. Everyone I know that owns that figure has had the same problem (the string coming undone that is, not being blasted in the face . The bead of superglue around the knot seems to be the best way to fix it.

Just for clarification;... you hate her because you purposefully shot ant your own face and did indeed get shot in the face (?) . Well, I suppose I've done similar things in the past.

Ok. Let me get this straight. You, knowing that Slave Leia is MURDEROUSLY known to have her string come loose, took aim and fired at your own face simply to see if you could judge the distance well enough to not hit yourself. Then, shocked and amazed, the string came loose and you impaled your forehead with said weapon.
LOL. At least we'll get some press coverage now! Call Jerry Springer and make an appointment for Stupid Human Tricks. That's about as skillful as the guy who can knee himself in the head while standing upright!

Yeah, I cut the string off mine... Its the only way she'll ever be used in my house... And yet she still sucks.
Oh, I almost forgot. Your an idiot, Jaws. (This is ok for me to say, as we've been friends for eight years or so.)

I've never heard of anyone playing roulette with a Slave Leia... I guess you like living on the edge. More like I just have almost no attention span. Ok. Let me get this straight. You, knowing that Slave Leia is MURDEROUSLY known to have her string come loose, took aim and fired at your own face simply to see if you could judge the distance well enough to not hit yourself. I actually did not know that. If I did do you think I would have done that? Oh, I almost forgot. Your an idiot, Jaws. (This is ok for me to say, as we've been friends for eight years or so.) In the words of the famous Collin MacDonald: Man shut up. You a narc.

I have never used Slave Leia, but her reputation for being pathetic on the field and her immodest attire keeps me from wanting to try her out.

I hate to be a real Strickler here friends but I think using super glue or not using the string at all is in violation of the Figure Non-Molestation Act which is being written by our great and respected peers in the council of rule makers. You see folks, editing your figures in any way is strickly prohibited. When a figure is completely broke I am sorry for the loss of your dear tiny freind, but Hasbro is continually supplying us with more dependable figures for our amusement. Thanks folks and remmber not to molest those figures, its not just moral ~ Its the law !

hmmm, as I understand it in a tournament if a figure breaks (say the string comes off) you can fix it, ah found it here: Q: What if my figure breaks during Tournament play? A: You are allowed five minutes during Tournament play to fix your figure. Crazy glue and epoxy will be allowed. [HASBRO] So while tweaking or trying to enhance a figure is strictly prohibited, repair is fine
