MidnightMajick and I recently acquired some sealed SW Promo figures from Series 1, and we were wondering if there is any added collector's value compared to the regular figures?
They appear to be the same figures as their "normal" counterparts, but I didn't want to open any of them before knowing what you guys think.

They are exactly the same. I've had one collector ask me for them specifically, but they don't seem to have any added value at this point in time. Perhaps later they will become more rare and collectible, but that does not seem to be the case yet.

There is a difference, though, isn't there? I thought the number on the back (the SW)13 or whatever) was writen as P)13.
Malform collects them, so does Gold34. They must be more valuable.

Don't open them unless you need the figure...the value if any stems from the sealed individual container. I'm trying to complete my set as well, but I'm not sure there is a high demand for them outside of this circle...

Are they from the Walmart ROTS event?

MM got them from eBay and I think she said the seller told her they were from a "Celebration" event at Disney World.
All sealed, the figures are:
Super Battle Droid Wookie Scout x3 Clone Trooper (Separatist) Padme Amidala Plo Koon x2 Wookie Commando Neimoidian Guard

There are a few of them that MM and I need for our collection, but I think we'll keep them sealed in their bags for now. Thanks for the opinions guys!

You could probably get some $$$$$$ cash on ebay for them because some people think they have more value.

Hey guys, I brought back this thread to ask if anyone knows if there is a full SW-S1 set (all 30 booster figures) of these Promo figures, or if there were only some of the figures from the first series? From what I can find on eBay and Google, I've only been able to verify the existence of 12 different Promos: 02 Super Battle Droid 03 Wookiee Scout 04 Clone Trooper (Republic) 05 Clone Trooper (Separatist) 06 Padme Amidala 07 Plo Koon 09 Wookiee Commando 10 V-Wing Pilot 11 Count Dooku 12 Clone Lieutenant 14 Neimoidian Guard 15 Commander Bly Can anyone account for the other 18 figures?

From what I remember it was just the Commons and Rares that were available in the little baggies.

I know for a fact a fact that the whole series were not available. The list you wrote looks complete, but I seem to remember #1 Battle Droid #8 Bail Organa both being promo figures, then again if that were true it would be likely that #13 Grievous Bodyguard would be one too, but I can't remember that being a promo figure.
So I think your collection is complete.

No, there was no battle droid or Bail Organa when they did the promos. All that DONP listed were all that were there.

I just scored about 50 of these figures yesterday at Christmas Tree Shop. I know you probably don't have these outside the NE, but it is a large discount retailer that ususually just carries the single galactic heroes or single unleashed figs.
Well my wife dragged me there yesterday and I almost peed myself when I saw a box ox these individually wrapped figures. My son and I made sure we got several of each kind, but we probably left 100 or so at the store. I probably have all I need personally, but I'm somewhat tempted to go back and scoop up the rest. Especially if they could help peolple complete their collections and/or if I could make it worth my time to re-sell them.
