This is the only way to bring attacktix back or at least make it semi-popular again. Introduce them to the kids playing with other star wars toys. Let them borrow yours or tell them to get some. At least then we can get the game going again, and then we have some actual hope.

I wish it were that easy. Ultimately, the level of demand required to bring these back is beyond our abilities. A nation wide grassroots effort would be required for us to make that happen. Realistically, for the game to come back, Hasbro will need to come up with a marketing/sales strategy that not only makes these profitable, but more profitable than what is already taking up their shelf space. If a new line of "Heroes" figures is expected to sell better than Attacktix, the stock holders have an expectation on the company for them to do what is most profitable. I had once believed and hoped for a small release, perhaps just the "starter" sets timed to sell with movie release dates, but after I got more understanding in the company, I realize that if they are going to continue to sell them, they need to sell LOTS of them. So a huge re-release would be necessary to see more than one last set of Attacktix. Ultimately, we have next to no control over Attacktix. There is however another way to get new figures. If someone with enough legal sense was able to look at the Attacktix Patent, we could manufacture a series of figures similar to Attacktix. Figures would need to be non-copyrighted, or (what I think would be more fun) copyright expired characters. Characters could include variations of monsters, politicians, military personnel (seal team 6), legendary fictional characters, Robin Hood, historical police/criminal enterprises, Sherlock Holmes, Mafia, ect. Just an idea I've had for a while. interesting reading www.cpaglobal.com/newlegalreview/4478/expired_copyright_popeye_fair_wikibin.org/articles/list-of-public-domain-characters.htmlFrom Nintendo... "Haven't the Copyrights for Old Games Expired? U.S. copyright laws state that copyrights owned by corporations are valid for 75 years from the date of first publication. Because video games have been around for less than three decades, the copyrights of all video games will not expire for many decades to come. "

All good points, but no person/organization is going to make these attacktix-like figures due to the lack of current popularity. I believe that if we can get fans of toys related to attacktix to get somewhat interested in attacktix, we might get what you said or we might even get hasbro to consider. Witthout current popularity we stand no chance. Posts have been on the front pages of these forums for more than 3 years.

After scanning over hasbro's star wars products of the present day, I noticed they had 3 distinct categories: 1)action figures (no lauching blasters, no swinging sabers, etc.)(not similiar to attacktix) 2) Accesories (helmets, fake guns, etc. for humans to use) 3) Race Car (remote control star wars vehicles without any launching bullets, etc.)
None of these have anything to do with attacktix, but I think we need to hit the forums of action figures. In the post, I think we need to say something along the lines of "tired of not being able to literarly shoot your opponent figures down? Tired of not being able to swing the saber and literarly knock the enemy of its feet?". However I think the best man to do to make the post would be Radar. I may have played attacktix every year to this day, but these are your forums now. I will reply and say something like "Thats a great idea! etc."
What do you think Radar? Is it worth a shot?

By going to other forums, you might stir up some interest and convert a few. (and if you have the time, feel free) There is a larger issue that we cannot solve. Hasbro (management and stockholders) has to want to sell them, until then, there will be no new figs.
I think if you want to see figures on a grand scale, we have to wait for Hasbro, but I think you might be surprised how simple it is to make your won action figures. If you have an hour, poke around on the internet. See what you can find. I think we could run a very small scale production between us, it could be a good time.

I actually was thinking of making a custom attacktix series. I came up with a lot of ideas, including 15 not to hard to make good quality figures. We just need active members to help us produce these. I will go into a lot more detail in another thread that i will post soon and i am making a website. I will tell u when i make it. If you wouldn't mind could you stir up some peoples interest of these figures why i do that? On forums, with friends whatever.

I think the interest level is what it is until people see real figures. If we make some and put them up for sale where people are already looking, it shouldn't be too difficult to sell off a small run of figures.

Yes but they might as well look on ebay for normal figures too before they buy customs.

Oh Sunsfan, I wish I had your enthusiasm! After so many years I pretty much lost hope there would ever be any more attacktix. Maybe the idea of running a small scale line of your own attacktix would be a pretty good idea. If you made some i'd most likely buy some. Just a side note, your website hurts my eyes with all it's yellownes lol.
