I have recently took interest in tracking down some more Attacktix figures I'm missing. I was hoping there still would be a bit more life in the game so to speak. Anyone still visit or have anything fun to share? I recently picked up some painted I guess production quality Star Wars 5 and Transformers 2 from overseas. Also anyone have tips on painting Attacktix?

I still come on at least once a day to check on things, but unfortunately as you can see, there isn't much activity. But that's what will happen when no products are released. Anyways, I don't know much about painting Attacktix, but if you take a look at the Custom Attacktix section you should be able to find some tips on how to paint them well throughout the large number of threads. Of course, it would probably be best to start with this thread attacktix.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=custom&action=display&thread=3180. Good luck.

Know what you mean painting these is a huge chore. Time consuming more than anything else. Ok: 1. Use Acrylic paints. Forget about enamels. Also forget about Gloss. Semi- Gloss is ok, but I like to to mix some clear gloss into matte/flat finish. Experiment on the ratios to get just the right amount of sheen; not too glossy and not too flat. 2. I like Testors paints, K-Mart, believe it or not, has a Testors Acrylic Kit reasonably priced in their Toy models section. Mix your paints well with a stirrer. I don't like shaking the bottle. Make sure the paint isn't too thick (usually happens after you've opened the bottle and it sat around for awhile). New paint should be good consistency, but you can add small drops of water and stir. Make sure not too watery either. About the consistency of milk. the brush that comes with the kit isn't very good though. 3. Get good brushes. Cheap brushes will give cheap results. For fine detailed work get the smallest brush like a 10/0 Sable 6999 by Marx. An art supply store should have these or go online. 4. Remove the Tix figure from the base so you don't get run off on to the base from the feet. Use a junk base as a pedestal for painting figs. 5. Make sure the figure is clean from dust, finger oils, etc. 6. Don't use enamels or paints with solvents such as acetone or toluene. They will make the figure "mushy". Most spray paints have solvents. 7. A few thin coats usually give better results than one thick coat. Let dry entirely before applying next coat. I'm pleased to say we have the entire series of SW5. Got some TF2's, but wouldn't mind getting the 5 or so TF2's that we don't have that would complete the series. Most of all would love to have the Colossus mega... We play every once in a awhile, but doesn't quite have the pizzazz it used to.

We can petition all we want, the ultimate decision has to come from Hasbro. And there decision is not only based on if Attacktix can be profitable, the real question is will it be more profitable than what is already taking up shelf space.
If Attacktix goes into stores, something else is being sold less of.
