Ok so I got the package from Hong Kong with the recent ebay purchases. It got me wondering whether production SW5 M2, T2 product exists, who has it and how much. I have seen pictures of snow trooper, battle droid and obviously yoda. I have a semi complete production Emperor with the correct sticker on the back. Some of the "prototype" figures look like production pieces that just need to be painted etc. (Gamorrean Guard for one)
I can say that all of Marvel 2 made it to prototype. Some of SW5 made it to production. I have no idea about T2 as I don't collect/play with them.
Anyone have any more info? I wonder if Hasbro is sitting on any product?
I'll try to get some photos up for those still interested in the "new" stuff.

I don't have any solid info, but all indicators are that some production went to final manufacture. To me, that means Hasbro is sitting on finished product. One can only dream that there is some Finished Tix sitting in crates somewhere...
We know that the starter sets for TF2, SW5 & MV2 went out to final packaging and ended up being on the shelves of reseller stores such as TJ Maxx, Ross & Dollar General. That means to me that the "Big Guns" such as WalMart, Target, Toys R Us & KMART didn't want to order from the Hasbro Distribution Centers. Someone at Hasbro said "Oh cra*p" and redirected the starter sets to the resellers. Pure speculation, but we know through Butterstotch and Protoman that the Asian prototypers also had finished Tix. Question is did any finished Tix ever make it into Booster packaging. I think this all falls into the hiatus/relaunch scenario Brian Wilk was talking about. Since then, I believe relaunch has been abandoned. Tix cost too much to manufacture, Cost of Goods Sold is not favorable, have too high a shrink rate and the overall economy is down. Not exactly conditions for a successful relaunch.
Just my two cents...

Theres stuff out there in boosters and I know it for fact. There was a certain someone on here a few years back who was quoted as saying he pulled some of the figures he was previewing out of a booster. He also said if he'd known that they were going hiatus, he'd have grabbed more of the boosters!

You're absolutely right, he posted pictures of a factory finished Gamorrean Guard and Lando. Absolutely gorgeous. (Let's not forget the Wampa Mega made it to final production too). So I correct myself... the real question is, just how much SW5, TF2 and MV2 was actually completely finished? If there is some decent amount out there...wow, one can only dream they'd atleast sell it on entertainment earth or something like that even if they have given up on relaunch. I'd love to know how Hasbro sets up its Production runs.

at Star Wars celebration 4 i was at the attacktix tables and in the boxes i saw (and even played with) some of the "new" figures that havent been released, including Whirl,Arcee (or however you spell that transformers name),and nightcrawler. i they were all in the little plastic bagies but as i watched little kids open them..i could'nt help but to also lol! if i had known about the upcoming "hiatus" i would've dug through every box a grabbed all i could!! so i'm also wondering..what happened to those boxes?...i know radar was there, did you happen to see any of the "new" figs too? do you know where the boxes went?! i know you probably have no clue but hey i gota ask i love attacktix!! lol

No, and that surprises me, I spent a lot of time playing on those tables (probably 40-50 hours). I never saw any of that stuff. I did get a healthy supply of tournament figures that I have nearly worn through for local tournaments I ran, but I would have loved to had played with some of those.

Wow how do you post again? It's been so long for me!
Someone posted a long time ago as well that they played at a convention (I think it was BotCon) and played with the new Energon Super Optimus Prime and then he won the Movie Mega of Megatron.

CHRIS!!!! Hope all is well with you and your family! Didn't someone win the Transfromers tournament pack? That there would tell you there's probably more sitting around sealed collecting dust in some warehouse.

CHRIS!!!! Hope all is well with you and your family! Hey! Yes things are well. Jade and Chase are growing like weeds. Jade will start Kindergarten in the fall... before long she'll be asking to borrow the car keys! Didn't someone win the Transfromers tournament pack? That there would tell you there's probably more sitting around sealed collecting dust in some warehouse. That's what I meant - sorry - yes someone won the tournament pack from Transformers that had Megas (of the new Movie versions of TF). And we've seen shots of the box of Colosus throwing Wolverine and that Magneto with the 3 x shootback - they're out there somewhere!

It's Chris!
Good to hear everything is going well.
I suppose the real question is how many did they produce.
If they only made hand painted ones for the cases, that's nice, but if they have some cases of factory produced figures sitting in a warehouse in Rhode Island..........sorry, I just drifted off into a Family Guy(esque) fantasy sequence for a moment.
