Wow, unbelievable. I think there's a 501st here in albuquerque. looks like loads of fun and ability to support some fine charitable causes. ladyB, you actually shaved your head? Talk about cosplay!!! Dooku and Ventress love interest? Makes me want to turn to the Dark side!!! The next question is , where do you get all your fantastic looking props and costume gear? make any of it? It has been fun, and helped a lot of good causes. The 501st is worldwide. New Mexico would be part of the Mountain Garrison it looks like: www.501st.com/members/garrisonglance.php?garrisonId=14Yes I did/have. It came down to cancel or shave and I didn't want to cancel on the Relay. We had a lot of happy faces of kids in general and those with cancer were especially enamored with my head. It was a smaller event but we were able to raise about $200 for cancer research. Love interest, sure, we celebrated our 11th anniversary by helping with the same Relay for Life a year latter a couple weeks ago. As to the costumes, I've made most of the soft parts and Ionic the belts and props. The pleated skirt I did find at a thrift store. The top and arm wraps and neck armour I either made or made with help from friends and family. Ionic and my dad made the saber hilts. His costume the imperial officer part was purchased from someone in our garrison (though I'm making him one now too) and I did the cloak. He made the chain and purchased some resin cast clasps that he finished. I help with making his hair white/grey, etc. Did that answer your questions? If not do tell, thanks. Yes, some of the costumes are rather expensive, so LadyB sewing most everything is the only way we've been able to do it with current budgets. It has been a lot of fun and nice to help kids smile. She's going to be on one of the costuming panels for CV. Hope it goes well for her.

Or a link featuring Celebration V photos! 2. Share with us your most interesting stories and highlights! 3. What was your presentation? Details! 4. Anyone offer you a role in any upcoming Star Wars live action productions? Or future Ventress appearances? And did you broker a must include Dooku clause? ;D

Alright between me and the Canadian Garrison who adopted me (roommates) I have about 900 pictures. Still sorting through them but will post some . Met and took pictures with Many Other Asajj Ventress' both in and out of the 501st Legion: A couple, Had fun spending one morning with Ben Burtt, very cool fellow, was really nice, not bad with a lightsaber either. I deputed a new costume of Asajj when she was still a Jedi. WIth a little help from IonicDesign to de-Fett the packaging we now have: shipping this Fall Went hunting with some Trandoshans: Got to meet Yoda: and I met this guy in Armour who was raspy, took him out, was honored by this emperor fellow, and decided to take over Larger: www.mcapell3d.com/images/CVPanels.jpg2. Ok will do, have to decide what though, will come back to it. 3. I presented at one of the Lucasfilm Costuming Panels on EU characters, specifically Ventress. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully shared some relevant info and good a good response from this slide midway through after talking about bald caps, elaborating on how I handle the costume: 4. Not that I'm aware of, though that would be fun. She seems to be big in Season 3 of Clone Wars and have her origin story expanded upon. Here's to hoping that it isn't rewritten from what was told in Republic #60, I rather liked that story (and made the costume to match). As to the latter, Michael is fine with Chris Lee being Dooku, its all good.

Not to be mean to the other 2, but LadyB is by far the best one out of this croup.

Kathrine (on the right), has a very nice Asajj too, just a different variation, she was my roommate and she said she was very nice, we helped each other with make-up, etc. Ok, who is Ben Burt, lightsaber trainer to the stars? Ben Burtt among other things was the main sound/Foley designer for Star Wars, ET, Indiana Jones, etc. He created the sounds for Lightsabers, R2, etc. He also wrote the cartoon series Droids, helped edit most of the films and was the voice of WALL-E, etc. He was very nice.

He was also the imperial officer that Han clobbers in the Endor bunker and a dignitary in the procession at the end of A Phantom Menace. Brita and I thought it was fun as we're fans on his foley work.
