Your mega has me thinking of Death Star attack type game play. One rule that pops to mind is something along the lines of:
"All figures must move at least half their speed on every turn"
These are starfighters engaged in a dog-fight. There is no time to park your Tie Fighter in front of a Thermal Exhaust Port and play goalie!

I like that rule idea. Admittedly, having anyone guard the Mega targets makes them almost impossible to shoot down. A different thought I had was that each turn you were required to move the exhaust port forward x number of tix. That replicates the fact that the Rebel pilots are closing in on their target the longer they survive. I have two more photos to share before it's back to the drawing board. Today's is a great segue from what was last seen - Vader going from one side to the other. This fella needs no introduction, it's simply enough to say he's a scoundrel. Lando was on his way in SW5 and the game seems a bit incomplete without him (and Qui-Gonn Jinn, too). What to do with such an intriguing character? I think I have just the thing... Lando's custom is probably my most complicated to date. He has force blast Luke's legs and left arm with the torso and right arm of Captain Antilles. I had to use a dremel to "remove" the vest. The head and cape are from a 3 3/4" action figure of Lando. In the movies he was certainly a game-changer, so his Tix figure should reflect that. Lando is a Rebel Warrior, weighing in at 30 points with a large missile launcher and a medium base. What really shows his true colors is the special power because it's always a roll of the dice. Will Lando help you or hurt you? He plays as follows: WHITE: 16/26 (61%) -> Vengeance (Any Opposing Figure), BLACK: 10/26 (39%) -> Recruit (Opponent puts a figure into play from backups). So it's 60/40 whether you end up liking Lando or not. Sounds about right to me!

It's time to change directions for the next custom out of the gates. This is a figure I saw at WalMart that caused me to do a double take. Regardless of the story line (Star Wars Infinities) being a "What If" scenario, Hasbro decided to turn this guy into an action figure. And Imperial enthusiasts like sfx5000 and Radar probably aren't going to be too happy about it! In this particular alternate Star Wars reality, Leia is present when Luke and Vader fight before the Emperor. Instead of delivering the killing blow to Luke, Vader falls to his knees and begs for forgiveness! An explosion then rocks the Death Star and Luke and Leia drag Vader off the space station. When he's next seen, Vader has returned to the light side of the force and is now clad in all white. I have no idea what special power to give him, but he was just begging to be repainted! Fun stuff, I couldn't help having made this one too. attacktix.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=custom&action=display&thread=3121&page=1The comic whas so fun and Vader in White is quite striking.

I can't believe how well he looks with the 3 3/4" head and cape and great job with the part swapping, looks awesomely perfect.! Ever see a custom that you like so much that you just want it? Well, let's just say I'm on a hunt for a Lando head and I'll be using your recipe. Side note: I never really saw Lando as a backstabbing scoundrel, but more of ...If I don't do what Vader wants we're pretty much toast... . He bided his time until he had an opportunity to set things right, as best he could anyway.

Here's the last of my finished projects, a trio of Jangos: As you can see by the labels, the two outside figures are Boba Fett repaints, while the middle one is an original Jango modified to hold two small missile launchers. The middle Jango keeps all of his original stats, but I don't yet have any plans for the Boba Fett repaints.

Really the painting wasn't all that tough. I don't know how you do your customs, but I start out with a Games Workshop black primer spray coat. I did the blue next, which was a perfect match with Games Workshop's (Citadel Color) Enchanted Blue. Doing the small blue cracks and crevices (like between the silver armor chest plates) makes it really easy to then come back afterward and just do the silver. For that I used Mithril Silver, which was also a very good match. If I have to mix colors for these customs I'm probably not going to do it... unless it's a very small area to cover.
The boots aren't an exact gray match, but they're close. Same with the brown belt. I chose to leave his cape black since that just keeps it from drawing much attention to itself. Overall I think it was easier than it looks, it just takes patience and a steady hand.
I must say that Games Workshop's paints are outstanding for this. My friend Michael (Annointed1) has been doing Warhammer 40k for a long time and I'm borrowing his paints and slowly building my own set as I go. I haven't done the final step yet, but he's suggested I put a final coat of matte finish spray on them so they can be played with. The one I have here (that's his) is by Krylon.

Thanks.
Are these all acrylics including the black primer coat? I've read about Game Workshop paints but never came across them. I use almost exclusively Testors Acryl or Model Masters and I almost always mix gloss with matte to get just the right sheen for Tix.
Very impressive paints, I learned a few things/
Perhaps Warhammer and other customs (I'm thinking painting those Handful of Heroes for Marvel Heroscape) could be posted up since let's face it, things are a bit slow...
