This just in: Disney purchases Marvel Comics for $4 billion! Internet goes completely freaking monkey turds! Uninformed fans make ignorant statements!
Honestly- people are reacting as though it's going to be renamed Disney Comics, with content comparable to Clubhouse Disney. I'd be willing to bet that Marvel will get to carry on pretty much as they have been. Disney will be Disney, Marvel will be Marvel, and ne'er the twain shall meet.
I'd be happy if this lead to a Darkwing Duck revival, though!

This is certainly an exciting development. I saw Conan poking fun at it last night, with these pictures: "The Incredible Duck" "Gooferine" "Thingerella" ;D All kidding aside, I don't think this will change Marvel in a bad way. Disney is a franchise powerhouse and I think it'll be good for both companies in the long run. I doubt they'll want to make any drastic changes (if any) to the tested and proven Marvel formula. The interesting thing will be to see how Marvel's current partnerships and licenses with be affected. Universal Studios theme park and Sony's right to the Spiderman movie franchise, in particular. Smart move Disney, and $4 Billion seems like a steal considering the possibilities.

Disney will be Disney, Marvel will be Marvel, and ne'er the twain shall meet. Hopefully, though it wouldn't be too unexpected if Spidey and others could now be seen at Disney parks.

I'd love to see Marvel characters walking around Disney parks! I can see them making rides, prizes, and the whole sha-bang!

Universal has exclusive rights to Marvel characters in theme park attractions east of the mississippi, for as long as they operate the Marvel themed rides at Universal Florida.
