35 - 5 breaking down the width of the bar, then a total 30 breaks down the length for each of the 6 rows.
So I say a total of 35 breaks needed.

5x6 huh?... so, there are 4 lines by 5 lines. If you are coordinated, you could do it in 9. However, once you crack it into lines the little strips will need to be broken independently.
If you could break it into 6 strips with 5 breaks, the six strips would need to be individually broken 4 times into 5 pieces, (6x4=24) +5=29.
Or you can break it into 5 strips with 4 breaks, you would have 5 strips that each need to be broken 5 times, totaling (20+4) 24.
24 breaks.
