Not sure if it's going to ever happen again if no new figures ever see the light of day. I know at the last one Brett (Webhead) was a little dissapointed that the crowd wasn't bigger than it was. But, if new figures start being released again I'm sure things could change.

Yes, unfortunately Tix have been gone for far too long. It's Brett's call if he wants to go through all the trouble again. I can't see him doing it though seems how interest has dwindled down so far that even some of the more hardcore fans don't frequent the site anymore. That and Brett's not on as much as he used to be either. Things are bleak my friends.

TixCon for '09 is certainly still a possibility. It would either have to be much bigger (which would mean bringing in other games) or much smaller (finding a different venue) this time around though. I will likely make a decision by spring, with tentative dates for later summer/early fall.

Well, I know I'd still be interested in attending and helping out as much as I could. Look forward to hearing good news. ;D

Same here Brett, let us know if we can assist at all. We'll do whatever we can to help make it happen!

I think I'm with you Pete. I'd rather have other games to draw more people in than to only have a few of us there to only play Attacktix. I've got Heroscape, Star Craft board game, and tons of other minigames. I still vote for GenCon.

I'm in for TixCon 2009 as well. If there's anything I can do to help let me know!

What about everyone/anyone else? I'm going to be at GenCon either way. If the concensus is that people would come to play there, I'd be happy to give it a try. Here are some of the pros and cons versus what we have done the past two years: Pros: It's the biggest gaming convention in the US. There are all kinds of games to play in addition to 'Tix. Likely lots of space and a perfect "gaming environment". Those that play other games will likely find additional events to attend. Neutral: Location, Indy is going to be closer to some of you, and further than Toledo for others. Cons: Expense. A day pass into Gencon runs probably $35 - $40 bucks. Hotel rooms are harder to find, and probably more expensive than those here in T Town for a normal weekend. Hassle. For Tixcon, we were the only event at the hotel, so the lounge is available to hang out at, the surrounding restaurants aren't extra busy, etc. GenCon RULES Indy when it is in town...it take 15 minutes just to cross the venue from one side to the next.

35-40 bucks? That may shy away the less devoted Tixer. When is GenCon anyway. On the very outside chance we're in the area, I'd consider it, was out there two summers ago.

Those that play other games will likely find additional events to attend. This is my #1 reason as to why I would like to try it here. I think if we open it up we could get passersby to possibly even play. Or then again, it could end up being a complete bust. Yes the expense is there for a 1 day ticket, but it's not like your only going to be there to play Tix. Gen Con is full of all kinds of gaming and vending booths. It was an absolute blast for me last year and the only thing I felt missing was Tix. When you leave the main hall and go around to look at all the games people were playing, you notice that it's not the latest or greatest games only. I found people playing board games, card games, and miniature games all over the place. Heck, I even ran into a group playing Monopoly! There were games that took up an entire 8'x4' table. There were games that were played on the floor. No, no Twister. LOL! Honestly, I've never seen over 90% of the games that people were playing. It was great. If you love games, trust me, this is the place to be. So why not play some Tix while your there?

Man, I'd love to go to Gen Con and I'm sure some of the other Western PA boys would as well, but I'm not sure if that's a financial reality for me right now. The price of admission isn't terrible, but it looks like it would take over 6 hours for us to drive there. I'd have to pull some major strings to attend that one. Toledo would be much more comfortable for us, since we've already been there/done that. I like the idea of expanding the show to include more options and hopefully attract a larger crowd. In the end, I understand and support whatever decision you make Brett. After all, it is your show!

Gen-Con is the best way to go if you ask me.Plus if you did do other games at Tix-Con who would know that were doing other stuff there.Folks would just think were playing Tix there.
