Club Nintendo America has finally launched, so I figured I'd let the forum know! ;D You get bonuses for signing up for Club Nintendo and registering your Nintendo products. I know there are quite a few Wii owners here, so one nice thing you can do is extend your Wii's existing warranty by 90 days, simply by registering it to your Club Nintendo account. Same thing for the DS. Also, you can register Nintendo brand Wii & DS games to earn coins that you can put towards exclusive prizes, etc. It's pretty neat, so I recommend checking it out whenever you get the chance. club.nintendo.com/home.do

I'll definately have to look into it i have tons of unregistered nintendo products. Are the prizes actual products (hats, teeshirts, ....etc) or are they similar to the store prizes here?

No, they are legit prizes. The top prize right now is an exclusive Club Nintendo DS game. It's a collection of games from the Game & Watch series. There are other things like Nintendo themed playing cards and game cases, all of which are also exclusively through the Club Nintendo program.

The prizes look great, however, I can't seem to find any product registration cards with ANY of my games they have listed as games that should have them. I've got 8 games, 1 Wii, and 2 DS Lites and I can't find any cards with a silver coating that needs to be scratched off.
What the heck are they talking about?

Ummm... are we talking about lotto tickets? Any registration cards I've ever seen are just regular paper inserts that are thrown in with the instruction manual for the games. Nothing to scratch off or anything, it's just printed right on there. That's peculiar if Nintendo is telling people to look for silver scratch-offs. (I copied this from another forum, too lazy to take my own picture. ;D ) What games do you want to register? You are only able to register Nintendo Brand games, so not all games are included. That could be why you're not finding the reg. number. For the systems, it's much easier. Just type in the serial number that appears on the back of the systems. Hope that helps.

Yes, it says that some might be covered with a silver coating and may need scratched off to reveal the number. I don't know.
I have those tickets that you showed in the picture. I just checked and Nintendo Club is down right now, so maybe they were experiencing problems before I even tried to enter in my codes. I'll try it again after they get things up and running.
So I can just use my serial number from my Wii? Can I do the same with my DS'? Not even sure where to find the numbers on the DS', but I'll try.

The only scratchers I can think of are on Wii Point cards. Maybe you also get Nintendo Club points for buying Wii Points(?) .

I'm not sure. I'm going to give it another go once they get the site back up. I figure it's worth a shot. They have some great looking prizes. The wii points are what I want so I can download some old Genesis games.

Yeah, just use the serial number that's printed on the system's side (or bottom, depending on how you have it set-up). Same thing for the DS. There's a serial printed on the back/bottom of the system. The only scratchers I can think of are on Wii Point cards. Maybe you also get Nintendo Club points for buying Wii Points(?) . No coins are gained by getting Wii points cards, but, as far as I know, you do get coins for purchasing VC and WW games with those Wii points. Not 100% certain on that one though.

This site is nothing less than a pain in the butt. I finally got some of my games registered. It asks me to take a survey and when I do it gives me no coins. I tried to register my Wii, but it wouldn't let me. It wouldn't take either one of my DS's either. Kept getting an "internal server error". Hopefully they will get this fixed.

It just launched a couple weeks ago and is still pretty glitchy. I took the Wii Music survey about 5 times before it finally accepted it! It also wasn't giving me coins right away either. Sometimes they'd appear after my next login. However, it didn't give me any trouble while registering our systems, but, then again, we already had them registered before Club Nintendo launched (when it was still just "My Nintendo"). All in all, I think it's a nice program. They just need to get it in gear and fix the problems before too many current members become discouraged.

Did you notice they changed a lot of the things you can redeem now?

Did you notice they changed a lot of the things you can redeem now? No, I didn't see that. Do you mean they changed the prizes, or they changed the eligible products? Prizes all look the same to me, but some seem to cost more coins than before... though I could just be imagining that.

I'm glad I kept most of the paperwork in the game cases. I'm up to 220 points. It should be more soon.
In the Customer Service section under Product Registration it states "Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels downloaded prior to creating the Club Nintendo link will not automatically be displayed in your list of registered products." It then provides a link where you can e-mail them to get the rest of your points.
Update: I just ordered the wii remote case. They did not ask for any shipping an handling. I suppose they already got enough cash out of us from buying the games, but I thought that was nice.

This is pretty annoying for three reasons:
1. I own over 20 Wii games and even more DS games, which have costed a fortune. Only about 9 of them are "Nintendo" products so I'm at a major loss.
2. I have bought VC and WW games prior to this club existing so I also do not get any points for that.
3. Lastly, some games will not work, even if they are Nintendo. This is the first time I have ever been on this site, let alone registered a game, and some of the games I registered says they have already been registered. Pssyyeah right!
A lot of problems but if they get their act together I can see it being successful.
