WOW
For real?!?... WOW.
They have been around for a while. Heroclix is an institution! I was a 'clixer before being reborn as a 'tixer. I know that a ton of people are going to be saddened/upset/pissed-off/you name it over this one.
Hey Webhead. Any word/new on this from your end?

HOLY CRAP! First Tix, now Clix. What next? No Virginia, there is no Santa Claus. He, like Tix and Clix, closed up shop. " How did it all come to this...?" (Theoden, LOTR)

I can hardly believe this...you can be sure that the cost of plastic and manufacturing costs had something to do with it... not to mention people not spending money on non-essentials these days... doesn't spell good news for a Tix "Relaunch". Not too many nails left to go in that coffin.

Wow, that is pretty wild. I remember the pocket models launch (or promotion) at the Star wars Celebration 4 convention. They brought out giant ships and huge dice. And those lil clickers have been around for ages.
Well, in the posted article, they said that "Topps will immediately pursue strategic alternatives so that viable brands and properties, including HeroClix, can continue without noticeable disruption." So anything is on the table right now. It seems reasonable to me that another company might buy or license the rights to make the figures. Maybe WizKids will become a subsidiary of Wizards of the Coast. Anything is possible at this point.
