Hi everyone! I haven't been on this forum in ages. Thought I'd jump on and see if anything new and exciting is going on in the world of SW attacktix. Glad to see the faithful regulars are still posting!

Yeah... It is nice to see regulars still posting. Even though the posting is really at an all time low.
There is no official news of any kind... That is unless you didnt even know about Mr. Brian Wilk himself reaffirming that the line will be relaunched.. He stated this in an interview snagged by a forum member (radar wasnt it?) back in, what, February?
Other than that the only action lately was tixcon and chris' queen city showdown tournament... However, most of the posting on the boards these days are some of the peeps making up their own figures out of existing figures and altered stats.

If not for Brian's comments about "relaunch" I'm not sure we would even have as much traffic as we do now. I still wait for the time someone posts that they have seen new figures at the store.
That will be a good day.

Hey guys, good to see theres still life around here.I tried to get my son to play a game of attacktix the other day and he said...naaaaaaaaaaahhhhh, and i then remembered the forum. So there is still hope for more attacktix? good news, and good to see some of the originals around. Oh by the way those that were talking about the crossbows and catapults game way back when with me,that game has also bitten the big one. And yet pokeman marches on..sad ..very sad.

So there is still hope for more attacktix? good news, and good to see some of the originals around. I think that the initial, thin thread of hope late last year is turning back into the ever present dread of a dead line. There is about 0.00000% indication that Hasbro is doing anything with Attacktix. I would absolutely love to be proven wrong... anyone? Hasbro? Please prove me wrong.

Nothing shows up at any of the conventions, so that to me is a sign. Add that to the fact that we get no updates of any kind. No inside information is ever found lurking anywhere with regards to this line. Nobody other than us seem to really care or talk about this line. So with all that said I now need nothing more to tell me that Hasbro has no intentions to further this line.

Ask yourself this one question:
From a business standpoint, what reason(s) does Hasbro have to relaunch Attacktix?
Answer: None
What's really going to be funny is if Brian Wilk gives another interview and how he says the relaunch effort was unfortunately scrapped. You can be sure it won't be on video.
Take a good look as you go down a toy aisle. What are Hasbro's products? Practically all action figures or dolls that appeal to the younger demographic. That's the money makers. Cheaper to manufacture, higher profit margin than Tix.
Sadly, there never really was anything quite as imaginative, creative, fun, versatile and collectable as Attacktix in my mind.
The last shovel of dirt has been thrown on the coffin. Quite some time ago.

Most things like this die and then find there way to somehow make a comeback later. For what it's worth, I'm sure Brian really wanted to see this thing take off again. I just don't think that there was enough support behind the idea. I have no ill feelings to Hasbro or Brian personally. If the game wasn't making money, then I see no reason that I would continue it either. It's all about the green.

Oh, gosh, I have no ill feelings towards Brian either. Am I disapppointed? Sure. But we're also grateful that Tix ever came out at all. What we have is still fun to play with.
It would be nice though if Hasbro treated its customers in these sort of things a little better. Just come out and say cancelled or give regular updates.

Hasbro gave birth to probably, IMO, one of the best games ever created. Unfortunately, they're partly responsible for giving their product an untimely execution. But even if Hasbro produces nothing new in the way of figures, we the fanbase can create new and expanded rules that largely enhance what is already a great game. I mean, look at the Tix Quest thread and in that you can find limitless ways to get the life out of your tix. Nothing new has come Hasbro, but new ideas have emerged because of that, and these new innovations may not have come any other way.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed in various ways.
