Now that we've all been suffering from this hiatus for some time, I'm curious to see just how this hiatus has affected the Attacktix playing community. Please don't let this thread turn into an anti-Hasbro "Where's my Attacktix" thread, or a "When we gonna get them" thread, as there are many posts already in which you can express your disapproval of Hasbro.
What I'm specifically looking at are two things:
1) With the hiatus well underway, has your Attacktix playing increased or decreased? How often do you play now, as opposed to a couple of years ago?
and
2) When was the very last time you played an Attacktix game? This answer can be in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. Just indicate when the most recent Attacktix game was for you.

I do not play as much as I used to, but a lot of that has to do with the birth of our second child though. I'd estimate that I play about 50% less than I did "in my hey day".
I last played last night (against myself). Had a good old battle between Rebels and a heavy Stormtrooper based Empire team (the Rebels won easily).
During the hiatus I have taken to collecting more of figures I already had (like getting more Count Dookus, etc.). I also like taking existing figures and tweaking tham a little (repaint and give them new specials).

Bah.... My attacktix playing has decreased tremendously. The last time I played was that time we met up at Pete's place... Has that been a year and some change now?
All of my figures now reside in the attic, resting in a giant duffel bag. I no longer even shop for attacktix deals on ebay, because it seems pointless to try and build an army when the foreseeable future is uncertain.
Strangely though, I still visit this site just as much as I ever have.. I may not post as much as I used to (who does? this forum is next to dead), but I am still visiting.

1) My play time has decreased tremendously. I still love the nature of the game, but without even one new figure, all the games seem to have been played. But that is the nature of cool, fun, and entertaining. Kids go to McDonalds for the new toy, they like the nature of the Happy Meal, but it takes something new and exciting to revitalize their interests. Without any new Attacktix, I still enjoy the game, but don't make much of an effort to play.
2) It's probably been 2 months or so since I've played a game. I've got a match I've been planning for a month or so (I'm totally going to win too), but it just hasn't happened yet.
While I have not been playing much, I have had a recent interest in making my own figures. I got some Azbro wax used in the industry, I got a tube of silicone (I get it at Home depot, not as nice as the professional stuff, but much cheaper), and I got some broken waxers (like a soldering iron with a heat control) off eBay I need to fix up. So, while there have not been any new figures out, I have been attempting to make some of my own, I got a whole Indiana Jones line planned, but with starting a small business, I have not spent as much time as I would like to on making figures.

1) With the hiatus well underway, has your Attacktix playing increased or decreased? How often do you play now, as opposed to a couple of years ago?Decreased as of late. There for a while during Tix Con and after, I was playing tons. Now, I don't think I've played a single game in around 30 days. I've been playing Heroscape with my dad, brother-in-law, and 3 nephews. We've even got a game set up for this Saturday to all play together. Fun! 2) When was the very last time you played an Attacktix game? This answer can be in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, or years. Just indicate when the most recent Attacktix game was for you.Like mentioned above, it was around 30 days ago. Truthfully though this is how I am with all my games. I get in a habit of playing one until I get bored and then move on to another just to rinse and repeat. So, I'll make my rounds to Attacktix again. It's just Heroscape right now and then StarCraft soon afterward. If Attacktix were to be released this year, I'd box up all my Heroscape stuff and play Attacktix exclusively for a while. It's just at this point I've played just about every scenario that there is and then some. I have my fingers crossed that we'll see them by the end of October or the beginning of November. What better time to relaunch then around Christmas? Please don't let this thread turn into an anti-Hasbro "Where's my Attacktix" thread, or a "When we gonna get them" thread, as there are many posts already in which you can express your disapproval of Hasbro. No hard feelings toward Hasbro. Like I said before, I would rather them take their time and get it right and have not only S5 Star Wars, but maybe even a chance at a S20 Star Wars. To me it's worth the wait for something you like so much.

I hope to see the game make it's comeback soon, but I also agree with GE on the fact that it's most important for Hasbro to take the time to get the formula right. If it fails a second time, I fear it'd be over for good.

1) My attacktix playing has also decreased significantly. I still visit the forums almost daily (or try to anyway, depending on my school schedule), even though I don't post as much as I used to. I still really like the idea of attacktix and the strategy associated with game play, but it isn't as exciting as playing with new figures and I've gotten super busy now that school has started too. The free game time I do get (usually Saturday nights) is used to play D&D 4e with some friends that I once used to play attacktix with every now and then. It's tons of fun!
2) I think I played my last game about 2-3 weeks ago, against my younger brother and one of his friends.

I have actually Played attacktix a lot more! I used to play once every month, and now I play 1-10 games a day.

I'll go ahead and chime in, since I didn't bother to answer my own questions.
1) My Attacktix playing has dramatically decreased. I'm at a point now where I don't even wonder when my next game will take place. There's still a slight urge to want to play, but I'm just not into it that much now.
2) My most recent game probably occurred sometime in the beginning of this summer. Been several months.
Turkish Van Cat, have you ever looked into the D&D Online MMORPG? Me, my brothers, and a bunch of friends just started playing this game, and it's freaking awesome! It's an excellent translation of the table-top. For D&D fans, I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, like most MMORPGs, it's a subscription game. But we're on almost every freaking night playing. This game is my new passion now! Me and my friends are also thinking about starting a table-top campaign, but we don't have any of the new books (and they're quite pricey!). For now though, D&D Online is just as fun, if not more fun.

I haven't even picked up a figure except to sell it on Ebay since TixCon. Chris is the only guy I play with, and he's been tied up just like me with the whole 'new child syndrome' but I'd be lying if I said that this is the reason - I retired a champion (well Star Wars, at least) and if I left the scene that way I'd be OK with it.
I have sold off a lot of my figures that I will probably never play with but I still have 200 or so. I even sold off all but 2 of my Obi Wan S2 Starter Army and most of my Silver Tourney figs (that's right...all but 1 set). I stopped making customs altogether (well, Attacktix at least) in lieu of playing heroscape which I almost like better. The forum is really, really slow and we're so starved for new content we've resigned ourselves to mod old figures to make new ones that are actually playable!!!
The next time I will play is the Queen City Showdown, which I am making a trophy for, but other than that I don't plan to even think of a team until 15 minutes before I leave for Chris's (but I ALWAYS do this, so no change). I hardly even remember the special power %s on figures anymore!
Too much longer and I fear that there will be no more 'attacktix scene', no tournaments...not even an honorable mention.

I hear ya. I do believe we will see something though. Why would Brian tell us to "not sell our figures" if something wasn't in the works. To tell you the truth, I think we'll see something soon. ;D

I haven't played a game of Attacktix in so long, I can't even remember. I stay on these boards for the General Gabbery section and all the nice people I've met on these boards, even though many haven't been showing their faces for a while. I hope the hiatus ends soon!

Wow. I never really thought about it, but my Attacktix playing may be over. I haven't even picked up a figure in recent weeks.
I haven't played an actual game in maybe six months. All my figures are in storage. I may get back into the game, but I've not really been motivated to.

Ever Since I took my Little girl to see clone wars she bugs me just about every weekend to play Attacktix. SO I've played a few games with the kids but before that it was a mouths. One needs new figures to keep it fresh. You know?
I've been spending extra cash on Transformers toys to get my toy fix. But I don't have the Fever for TF's that I had for attacktix.
I still check this site often. Hoping For news or gab. This is an interesting group of people.

About a month, had a real nice match with my son and youngest daughter. However, we are so busy, we don't have time to play other games much either - so not really decreased for lack of desire to play Tix. Week before last, we played Crossbows - n - Catapaults and that was alot of fun too, although I like Attacktix better.
For us, the gameplay itself is fun, even with old figures.
But what is it that made/makes Attacktix so attractive to us?
1. Excitement of not knowing of what you'd get in a booster 2. Collecting an entire series 3. Trading 4. Customizing potential 5. Real action attacks 6. Tix movement 7. This Forum 8. Great genres - SW, MV, TF 9. Great Sculpts 10. Easy to play, challenging to "master"
Can't say that about too many other toys/games/collectibles. I for one am grateful to have Attacktix, even if it nose-dived. (This old Dinosaur will be around for a long time, even if a new fig never comes out). For instance, how far did Marvel Battle Dice or Marvel Legends Showdown or DC Fightin' Figs go?
This board, although centered around Attacktix, is a great Forum and was very wisely designed to have other sections besides Tix related ones.
