I know it is just a bit early , but registration is now open. Comic Con is currently $75 for Thursday-Sunday, as well as Wed night. Expect prices to go up as time goes on. I'm registered. And excited.

Hope to see you there YeeHaw!
Preview night starts in about 27 hours and I'm still excited.
I got permission from Hasbro to run another one of my "World Championship tournaments" (I still stand by my reasoning that it is an INTERNATIONAL comic book convention, thereby making any activity encompassing the world), but I still recognize the significant increase of competitive play at the TixCons in Ohio.
Anyway, I'm bringing my lap top, hopefully we will have access to wifi, so I can keep you guys entertained with random convention fun.

Any chance you could talk to anyone there regarding the "relaunch?" Even if everyone stares at you with a blank face, it would be give us some insight as to whether or not a relaunch is in the works.

Yeah, I'm planning on it. I'm a little apprehensive to ask as I might not like their answer, but realistically, unless they tell me a specific date (which is astronomically unlikely) I will be doubtful.

I'm more curious in seeing just what their reaction is. That will be much more telling than anything they say. Blank surprised looks? Uncomfortable shifting as he stutters out a safe but less informative answer. Or will he appear to have completely expected it and launch right into a monologue regarding where they are at and when we could possibly see the relaunch. Take particular note of their body language. Be mindful of the present, and many things will the Force reveal to you.

I'll second that I'd atleast like to know if theres ANY information other than "wait for the relaunch".
Have fun Radar and we look forward to your videos to come.

(I'll update this section with my notes from Hasbro...once I find my notes, but generally speaking, I would not expect anything major soon.) OK, so the San Diego International Comic Book Convention: Celebrating the Popular Arts (2009) was fantastic! A lot of the stuff was the same as last year, Mattels booth was essentally unchanged, Hasbro has the same basic displays with some new statures....anyway, here's some pictures for you guys and gals. So, first things first. I met Batman! Adam West is cool. There is a new game coming out. Lego Rock Band. And no, I was not able to play. There was a new trend at comic con, Green (sometimes blue) Screens. Heres a couple I did. There is a new Gangsta Rap and a competition ....to get Olivia Munn to star in your Fan Fic Video! All on Atom.com. The Hasbro booth was kinda cool, they had a giant Bumblebee and other statues. As well as a sculptor or painter who was there sometimes. OK, I'm a little disappointed. The guy that played Boba Fett as a youth was there, but I couldn't find him when I had a figure ready,...even worse, I had every reason to assume Lou Ferrigno would be there, but I didn't bring a Hulk Figure! I know. But I did have a Hulk Barrel in my Attacktix bag, so I decided to just take a few (a lot) of pictures with that. I didn't feel right explaining the last paragraph to Lou Ferrigino and asking him to hold a small plastic toxic waste barrel. So this happened. Hulk want smash Barrel! Lou Ferrigino want smash guy taking pictures of him! I left right about that time. So, I know I was at a convention that celebrated art, but the most beautiful thing I found was outside the convention. This guy does fantastic work. Seth Green is great. Loves star wars, like people, enjoys life, and signs the newest issue of Geek Magazine (soon to be available on eBay) Chewbacca wants to make sure you have chap stick, so he is passing it out. This costume won some awards. This one should have won. Finally I want to warn you to be careful, the terminators are impersonating people! Hope you enjoyed, more will be coming soon.

Thanks for the review Radar, looks like it was a blast! I saw the reviews that James Rolfe (Cinemassacre) did for Spike.com, and he said the lines were awful, especially near anything that had to do with Twilight. Did you run into any of that mess?

Yeah, lines were long, it is sometimes hard to move, but when you go to an event with 125 thousand people, it is something to be expected. Yes, Twilight was huge (it was popular last year too). But not being a Twilight fan (I thought the movie was ok), I didn't wait in the same lines as massive amounts of twelve year old girls. There was a fair amount of hostility against the "Twilighters", some people felt they ruined the convention, ...but they like a movie about vampires....welcome to the Comic-Con Other people complained hat vampires can't survive in sunlight, but it is science fiction and people need to relax.

Looks like you had a great time! I'm happy for you. Did anybody notice your Attacktix gear? I take it that you must not of gotten too much information from Hasbro? Did you see Brian this time?
Man that chick in the yellow is SMOKIN! She supposed to be Pikachu or something?

Yeah, I saw Brian and talked to him for a while, we talked about my career aspirations, families, laser tag, you know, normal stuff. But he set me up to talk to some guts from marketing...and not lackeys either, these guys are in charge, they run the Hasbro booth and have been on the panels for years. I'll have to find my notes, but the basic conversation is Attacktix were "supposed" to be in stores next year, but some distributor/retailer/or other aspect in the chain fell through. And they looked really irritated about it. They thought they were going to get them out, but some company/organization who they would not name didn't do their part and now we are waiting again.
They did say that they could not get them out within the year, it can't be done. So, they are optimistic about a 2011 re-launch. Details need to be worked out, but they are hopeful.
People liked my Attacktix hat, but most of the Hasbor people had seen it last year, (they liked it then too). But there was a guy from marketing who re3ally liked the game and we talked for a while. Nice guy.
Yes, Picachu. Yeah. I didn't take may pictures of girls this year, but ...I thought I'd take that one to share.

Can't wait until 2011! ;D And that Pikachu girl is shockingly gorgeous!
