Um, all of the existing wookiees, save Tarfful, are tripe anyhow - will they truly be missed? Has any Wookiee ever been played in a tourney? =D
The only problem with your idea (which I love) of splitting the Wookiee Scout into 2 seperate guys is that when using a sheet it would be REALLY hard to keep them straight in a battle. I happen to have a sh8load of Wookiee Scouts, so for me it's no problem, but for guys like you with only one, that's a different piece of pie.
I favor making the Wookiee Scout into:
JA1-01 Wookiee Scout, 10 points, Trooper, Wookiee, 23% Evade - Wookiee, Speed 6.
Rationale: I like the fact that he is semi-equivalent (at least in pecking order) to the Wicket, so Evade really fits. Also, the fact that he has a high % doesn't bother me since the Spiderman figures have a 50% Attackback, and I believe the Omnicon has a 23% Battlecry too. I figured the 6 speed would mimic the long gait of a tall person versus an average one as well as compensate for the HORRIBLE sculpt that almost knocks itself down. In reality, no matter what we do to this fig, it may never see the light of day do to the bad design.

SW-0X > Wookie Scout > 10? pts > Trooper > Speed 6 > Rally
This way if we change up the Commando with Rally later, we still have a Rally fig.
SW-0X > Wookie Trooper > 20? pts > Trooper > Speed 6 > Evade: Your opponent may not attack any of your Wookies on their next turn
I am not so sure about point values.... depending on what else we change, we don't want a wookie super faction. The percentage is higher than Wicket, and this should be kept in mind. Then again, Wicket moves 8 and strikes.... so I am undecided. I like Pete's idea of making them faster. His reasoning makes sense.

I'm going with. Wookie Scout/10 points/Evade"I concur ... Master Kenobi should go." I think the major thing is that he needs to be bumped down to 10 points, as I believe one of the major flaws with the Wookie faction was the lack of 10 pointers, so this works for me.

Well, it looks as though giving the Scout the "Evade" special is a hit. Great!
I would like to comment on Attacktixmans and TBHTIOT ideas of creating another "Trooper" figure from the Wookie Scout. Does anybody else wish to do this?
I like the idea. But I think I might like to go though the rest of the figures first and maybe touch back on the idea. I'll be happy to continue discussions on it if we have a majority of people who would like to.
Please post your thoughts on this issue.
Let's go ahead and move to the next figure as well.

With 5 votes this is the second most popular figure that everybody wished to see changed.
Here's my idea.
SW1-09 Wookie Commando/30 points/Specialist/Infiltrate (if you have another wookie in play)
This was S.F. idea and I love it. Makes sense to have a commando go behind enemy lines and cause problems. Like a John Rambo for the Wookies! I left him at 30 points simply because of Skywarp who is 30 points as well. Now here is the difference though.
Skywarp is 38% I believe and the Commando is 31%. So somebody could make an argument that he should be 20 points instead. But here's the difference. Skywarp need a captain in play to be able to activate his special where as the Commando only needs another Wookie. I feel this makes it easier for the Commando seems how he can work off ANY of his brethren.

I like the Specialist designation due to the mention of Series 4 19 Chewbacca (rally a specialist). I think that I would use him with those two modifications, but I am open to other ideas.

1. I think we should make a second trooper figure, more generic.
2. Commando's should be fast and agile, and hit hard. Like SEALS.
30 points, 8 speed, and either RESCUE 38% or a NEW power....
Cover Fire: Move up to 2 of your WOOKIEE launcher figures to your starting line, then attack with them.

Sorry, was out of town with little internet access.
I like the WOokiee Scout changes (10 speed, Evade).
I gave away all of my Wookiees, so I admit I'm not as into this one as I would be on another. I think the Commando should stay at 30 points, and I like the idea of giving him a fun special power. I really like the creativity of Cover Fire, but since Shootback is such a weak power I'm not sure I'd want to go with a double. What if it was a Recruit/Shootback combo?

I envision a Commando doing things alone. However, I do have an idea.
A Commando is someone who goes behind enemy lines and causes havoc, right? He's also someone who could possibly be sent in to "Rescue" one of his comrades who have been captured. Or possibly he could "Capture" one of his enemies himself. Or last but not least, he could also be used to scope out an area and relay information back to headquarters about where's the best area to strike from. Then they all "Charge" in ready for battle.
1. Infiltrate - If you have a Wookie in play 2. Rally - Return one of your defeated Wookies and stand them up on your OPPONENTS line. (kinda like he rescued them) 3. Capture - Take control of the figure that attacked you for the remainder of the game. 4. Charge - Move ALL of your Wookie figures.
These are some of my ideas. What do you think.

Well, if you want to talk tactics, Commandos don't go in alone. They go in as a cohesive unit, generally 16 man units broken into 8 man platoons and 4 man squads in that platoon. If we want to do this thematically based on the 'commando' line of thought, they should have something like "Fallen Comrade - If this unit's base was adjacent to another Wookiee Commando then stand up", or "Sabotage - Your opponent loses all remaining attacks this turn".
I don't like the idea of a "Charge-all", but I do like Infiltrate with a twist: "Ambush- Move up to 2 of your Wookiee Commandos anywhere on the battlefield". Another good one would be "Escape - Return ALL of your defeated Wookiee Scouts (or Commandos) to play" to go along with the idea that a commando would break his buddies out of a POW camp.
These ideas would encourage the use of multiple Wookiee Commandos, and make the game a little more true-to-tactics of a Commando unit.
Since we're brainstorming, I would like to add one option here: Make the Wookiee Commando figures into a new figure - Wookiee Medic with the special 38% "Rally - Return 2( or 3) of your defeated Wookiee figures to play"
