Forgot one - we could take either a Han Solo, an Endor Trooper, or another figure and make a Dash Rendar figure with the infiltrate ability, but not for Rebel - for BH.

"So here's what I'd like to have: a multiple Attackback, Recover, Recruit, Rally, Infiltrate, Vengeance, Capture. I would consider Evade, Stun or Rescue. I vote against Sacrifice, Force Push, Charge, Shootback, or Battle Cry."
Like what you are saying here, fine with me.
"So I'm not sure what to do with those really low ratios of Jango Fett and Bossk. Even at just 20 points (I wouldn't want to go to 10) I'd need to have some sweet specials to have an incentive to play those two".
I'll take a shot at coming up with effects for the low ratio Jango & Bossk to hopefully make them worth their 20 pts. And/ or perhaps an increase in Tix speed?
Somewhat good news, I actually printed up labels for the Wookiees and Jawas, but alas had no one to play test against. Time of year when everyone is very busy, even the little ones.

As for the other BHs, I think they're pretty much OK, to be honest. The Queen City Showdown taught us all that they're really competitive as one participant had a team of ALL BHs and whooped on everyone, I had 2 Recover Bobas (and originally I misread the event to be 350 points and had the 3x Attackback Bossk) as well on my team. Oh, one final idea - we could make different IG88 units since there were in fact 4 variants starwars.wikia.com/wiki/IG-88#The_IG-88_lineI like this idea. The BH kicked butt because they capture and it was on a 30 and up category. Capture becomes considerably less effective when it costs 30-40 points to put said figure on your team, and then they end up capturing a 10-20 point figure. So something does need to be done, though BH as a group are pretty balanced when you add the 10 point Greedo, and a striker. BH do not excite me, so I will probably lay low, for that reason and the following: Wookies are pretty satisfactory but Jawas are not. They still need some fixing. This needs to be resolved. I also thought that we had previously decided to work on Separatists next, rather than BH.

I see where Truth is coming from, especially since I was the one who advocated play testing. However, proving easier said than done. I guess I'm going to have to play against myself!
On another note;
Taking a striker Luke and renaming him Cade Skywalker sounds good, but looking at the figure still screams Jedi Luke at me, not Bounty Hunter, even if I imagine a goatee painted on him.
But, Tion Medon really could fill the bill of a BH...looks and all.

Thanks for continuing Yaggs.
I'm scheming up some ideas. Let me let them fester a bit longer in my head before I spew them out here. ;D

Alright. Here's some thoughts. Before we get too crazy and add lots of "other" characters to the BH squad. We should focus more so on what we already got. Make the improvements with them first and THEN decide if more are needed. We need to consider points, speed, specials, effects, and maybe even something else. ;D
Initial thoughts are we need to look closely at the figures themselves. Boba and Jango both have Jet packs. Shouldn't we consider using those? Hammerheads projectile is actually a net. Bossk hunted Wookiees for sport and Wookiees hate him greatly for it. Pete mentioned (I remember reading this in Tales of the Bounty Hunters) that there were several IG88's at one time. Boba Fett destroyed most of them. So with all this said here are my ideas that I will throw out there so we can have something to chew on.
Jet Pack - Move this figure anywhere on the board.
This could work very well with Boba and Jango. In Ep. 2 Jango used his jet pack when he was fighting OWK. So we could do the same thing here. Let him fly around the board, with some restrictions.
Chance - Figure recovers ONLY if he can defeat the figure that knocked him over.
For instance lets say Boba gets smacked across the board by Vader. You may stand Boba up where he lands and take 1 shot at Vader. If you defeat Vader, you may stand Boba back up. If you miss, then Boba goes to the defeated pile.
Capture - NEW AND IMPROVED! You take control of the attacking figure for the rest of the game. You may also stand the your figure back up.
I hate that when I capture a figure, I lose the figure that I used to capture him with. It makes no sense! So I propose that we change that! Let's let the figure that captured you recover. It only makes sense that if I captured you, I shouldn't be defeated, right?
Snare - If you defeat a figure with Hammerhead, you take control of it if the figures special is black.
This one only works for Hammerhead. At 40pts he's a good waste when you can use Kit instead. So what I propose is spicing him up a bit. Let's let him take control of the figures he attacks ONLY if the figure he attacks has a black special. OR we can say that the figure loses it's special if defeated by Hammerhead. OR we can say that the figure may not move or attack for 1 turn (like he is snared)
Give me feed back on what your thoughts are.

I agree (the main thing I think they lack is a striker as noted before) about dealing with what is there and then filling holes. The tweaking of Hammerhead would both make him funner to use and a more viable character at 40 points. As for IG-88 there was 4 of them A,B,C, and D. They killed their creators after they were activated and gained sentience. I think one of them had his consciousness hiding in the second Death Star when it blew up, I think Fett took care of the others. One of his storylines was a belief in the dominance of robotics to organics and I think they tried to take over some droid factories. Maybe he could have an ability to draw opposing droids to his cause...sort of like an electronic or philosophical capture. A couple ideas anyway.

I like the idea of him being able to capture Droid Army figures or something along that line.
How fun would it be to put some sort of spinner inside of IG88 to where if you want you can spin to gain control of one of your opponents figures for just one turn? ;D

Ok i once thought that bend-over fett was flying fett, so is came of the base. it was SO unfair. i creamed armies of 50 with just him. i think that we should stick to string. I also think that ig-88 should be able to capture specialists or a fig from the droid army class.

I was out of town for the past four days or so, sorry I haven't posted.
Right now I just want to say - GE, great ideas!! I love them. I don't have a lot of time to process right now, but I will give it some thought and post in the next day or two.

Are we giving up then? It has been over a month since a post. Should we agree to resume in 2009 after all the holiday busy-ness? Or agree to shelve it indefinitely?

Well, as much as I'd like to say "hiatus" and then gear up for "relaunch", its probably best to just officially put this one to rest.
