I'm working on an alternative rule set, nothing official, nothing fancy, but something that would play a little more like it's own game (but still in the same spirit of 'tix). It would use matching cards that would both show the stats/powers of figs as well as be used as the movement tool. Anyway, while I work out the bugs, here's a quick look at the Superman fig from this summer and the ease of the card based movement... Superman VS. Venom

Is it bad that I'm jealous because I don't have one of those swanky shirts?

Well, it didn't seem like YOU had too many problems aiming with Superman. What's the deal with everyone else saying they are difficult?
I like your idea. Keep us posted.

"Pardon me sir, but how do I get to Carnegie Hall?"
"Practice, practice, practice."
Once I get my hands on the new figs, I'll post up my first draft of rules and the cards. I think the flick flight figs, while requiring some attention to detail, have a lot of potential as custom fodder as well, as most any "flying" or "leaping" type toy of the right size can probably be adapted to the launching mechanism fairly easily.

I am curious as to the weight of Superman? Does he seem like he could become a figure that if you shoot him he could break up or maybe even knock over a group of figures? Does it depend on how far you pull him back as to how powerful he flies, or is it a set amount that you can pull?

Will tilting the Tix base before launching be considered legal? I thought I read somewhere - Rules Committee - that this was a no- no. I think an exception should be made for this mechanism. And I can't tell you how many other figures I'd like to adapt to it. Great job, thanks!
