Actually, if all went well, one would only need 15 boosters (to get one of each of the 15 super rares; the 10 rares and 5 commons would fall out rather naturally). If these sellers intend to buy massive numbers of boosters (say 60+), it'd be difficult for them not to get enough to sell a whole set.

Right, but he has two complete sets on eBay Sorry, I should have been more clear I did say "whole series" but I was thinking about both auctions. Still easy to do

The way I look at it, this guy isn't being at all overconfident. He buys in Uber-bulk, opens them all, and here's the kicker: I THINK THIS IS THE GUY YOU SEE SELLING COMPLETE CHROME SETS!!! You know, the guy everybody sees and asks "How did he do that?" and "Why would you sell a whole chrome set?" So technically, this guy can virtually guarantee himself two complete sets of black based figures. And trust me, he probably makes back every penny and a healthy profit. Not to mention, with the money he makes, if he gleans off a full set for himself, he has let other people pay for his Attacktix. Note: this is all theory, and, no, I am not this guy. (Wish I was though...)

Skankin, welcome to the board. Just FYI, this eBayer could be a board member. We have no problems with selling figures, or complete sets on eBay.
Even with full sets and chrome sets going on eBay, I don't think getting a complete set of Attacktix, for anyone that can afford the cost of dozen boxes or so, has been a problem.
I know I have sold my share of singles & chromes on eBay to recover the cost of buying figures I didn't need!

Possibly, but there are other ways to accumulate entire chrome sets Actually, when I end up selling my chrome Series 1 set, it'll be because I want the money for figures that I actually use, rather than those that just sit around, useless. I originally put them all together just so that I could have the whole first series in chrome, and it took me about a month of chasing different figures in auctions to do it. However, after thinking about it for a while, I've realized that I really have no reason for having it. However, I'm gonna let it appreciate a bit more, though I'll admit I'm also planning to use the proceeds to fun either my Series 3 or Series 4 purchases.

I personally wouldnt attempt it, but if i could afford to buy 30 boosters at a pop I could see how this happens.

Please don't misinterpret what I said: if he is doing this to collect and sell a full chrome set-- He's a genius. I meant no disrespect, and if "you" are on the board KUDOS. I sell my doubles on eBay all the time and I know how hard it can be to keep track of everything. Like I said, I wish I could do that, it's a brilliant idea

Before you bid on a pre-order, make sure you understand how much eBay will protect you. I believe eBay no longer take serious any accusations from bidders after 30 or 60 days of auction end. I'm no saying this is a bad guy, but you must be extra careful when "pre-ordering" on eBay. -Radar

Just thought I'd point out that BigBadToyStore has the release date as February 2006, rather than March as is listed on Entertainment Earth.

Whoo hoo! Go Phoenix! I would totally buy that if I could make more than 5 bucks a week. Oh well, they should be out soon.
