But this is a big thing!! I am comparing attacktix to star wars. george lucas took his time and made the movies. I am not saying that we should release an attacktix series every three years, but look at what george can do with star wars. NOTHING!!! The movies are over. But there are some new toys, comics, and possibly a tv show coming out. The point is that after alll of the series are out, what comes next? barbie attacktix? I think not.

It doesn't matter that the movies are over, Hasbor has the license for until 2018 I think. Star Wars toys are not going anywhere, as long as the sales back up the product they will come out with new Attacktix series. Right now Attackitx is an open product, meaning there is no set end date for it. Hasbro will do what it always does for their lines and rehash a few 'tix with new powers and include some totatlly new characters. I don't think there's anything to worry about.

I'm fine with the timing of the releases especially if they continue with the 18 'tix set. Now if they change it back to the 30 set it might be a different story especially if they do that for 3 Attacktix brands. This is my biggest concern. If they have SW5, TF2, and the first series of marvel come out at the same time... Thats 54 new figures, minimum (assuming 18 booster figures per series).... Thats going to take a huge toll on my wallet. To get around spending a ton of money, it would only seem logical to not buy into all 3 of them. Personally, I think I'll drop the star wars lines, and focus mainly on transformers and marvel.... Of course picking up a choice SW figure here and there. BUT, in reality Ill probably buy them all, because it buggs the bejeebers out of me when I dont have them all.

I agree wholeheartedly, but I've made a conscious decision to not buy transformers EVER again, get rid of those I have, and to think LONG AND HARD before investing in the Marvel figures. What you forgot, Malform, is that it will likely be 18 figs x3 (54 as you stated) PLUS at least 1 Starter from each, and likely 1-2 Megas each.

Yeah, the "minimum" part was supposed to cover the inevitable extra figures from megas and starters. Why would you be so sceptical of the marvel figures? They seem to have a good amount of strikers planned.. And it looks like marvel attacktix are going to revolutionize the idea of effects. And besides, doesnt it really seem like attacktix is tailor made for marvel (or any other comic franchise for that matter)?

It's really about balance for me. I don't play TF vs. SW due to the inevitable balance issues and difficulty of using TF Marquee figs with SW figs as their powers are generally not able to cross over, and I think Marvel will be the same. I'm not a superhuge Star Wars fan, but I am a huge Marvel fan, and I still won't be spending money on them. I've got such a vast collection of SW it makes sense for me to continue collecting the SW series, but I was wholeheartedly disappointed with the TF line (and subsequently traded my entire TF1 set off, and am trying to trade the loosies/megas/starter off as well) and unless the Marvel line brings something 'oh so good' to the mix, I'm going to pass.

I have collected a total of 1 Series 3 SW Booster, 2 Series 4 SW Boosters, some Starters, Megas, and one carrying case (I plan to add one more SW case before the Galvatron case hopefully comes out.). I'm usually cautious about adding to that number, but I don't want to completely ignore the SW figures. There's something else to be considered. Right now, one shipment of Attacktix figures contains half Star Wars and half Transformers. When Marvel comes out, a box shipped to a store will contain one third Star Wars, one third Transformers, and one third Marvel. I suspect that will create a problem with finding Star Wars figures much like the beginning of this wave only worse. I see starters as a 'safe bet' though. You know which figures you're buying, so there's no possibility of buying characters that you don't care about.

The half/half cases were a cross promotion between Star Wars and Transformers. It went along with the Intergalactic Showdown sets. Future sets of each will be released on their own. Marvel will have it's own release so, the 1/3 shipping pack shouldn't happen.
