FROM WEBHEAD:
Attacktix Cards are designed to be an add-on to the Attacktix game. Simplicity is one of Attacktix greatest strengths, and these cards are meant to add only the slightest layer of complexity to the game.
So, how do they work?
There are two types of cards (currently), Battlefields and Orders. All cards have a cost of from one to three points. The cost of a card is shown at the top right of the card, across from the card name. Each blackened in bar is one point of cost. Each player can play up to three points worth of cards. Sometimes that will mean playing three one point cards, sometimes a one point card and a two point card, or of course a single three point card.
The green cards are Battlefield cards. Battlefield cards represent the locations where your battles take place, or a base of operations. Each Battlefield card lists a Condition. A Condition effects all players in a game equally (though normally it should help the player who played it more of course.) For example, the Battlefield card Kashyyk: Kachirho City has the Condition: All Wookiee figures have +2 speed. This means that all players who have Wookiee faction figures on thier team would get the bonus. This card represents a battle taking place on Kashyyyk, where the native Wookiees would have a natural advantage.
The blue cards are Order cards. Order cards represent strategies and guidelines that your squad will follow in battle. Each Order card has a Bonus and a Restriction. The Bonus is the positive effect the the Order provides to your squad (or negative effect on your opponents squad), and the Restriction is the condition that must be met to use the card. For example, the Order Turn to the Darkside has the Bonus: You may Recruit from your opponents Backups and Rally from your opponents Defeated area. However, it also has the Restriction: You must have a Sith in play to use this Order. So, if you want to use this card, make sure you have some Sith on your Squad. This card represents the Sith mastery of turning those with great power to the Dark Side.
Players can choose to play a mix of Battlefields and Orders, as long as the total cost of all cards is three or less.
As the Golden Rule, if a card conflicts with a rule of the game, the card trumps the rule.
If a card is difficult to understand, please ask for clarification here, I'll keep a FAQ of sorts going. In general, interepret all cards in the simplest and most direct way possible.
