I just had this idea. I dont really know how stupid it is so feel free to tell me if you think it is. I took the revised reactor board and cut it up into 8"x10" sections. Then put all the sections into a pdf. This way if you would like to have one of these battle boards, but dont want to find someone or pay someone to print off a large image, you can just print it off on your deskjet. Im not sure how much of a pain it would be to put together, so if anyone gives this a try please let me know how it turns out for you. download

Actually, this is a fabulous idea! The link seems to be down for the time being, but I'd love to try this out as soon as it's back up!

Great! Im glad you like the idea.
After you are able to download it and print it, your comments on how it turns out would be most appreciated.

Cool battle board, MalForm! I printed early mockups of my battle boards on 8.5x11, using PDF, and---even though they're a pain to assemble and have to be covered with contact plastic---they do work. One thing I found: The best backing boards for assembling them are the tri-fold cardboard pieces that are used to make science fair exhibits.

It works for me now! Once you cut the white margins off, the board assembles nicely (and I definitely understand why you need the margins!) and looks good, even in greyscale.

Ok, I made pdf files of the 3 battle boards I made. Each board is cut up into 24 - 8"x10" sections so they can be printed on any old printer that anyone may have sitting around the home, then assembled into the full size 32"x42" boards. Sorry for the somewhat large margins around each piece, but printer margins vary a bit and I wanted to play it safe. I think the site they are on will delete them if there have been no downloads in 30 days. So at any point in the future if these links do not work for you please PM me and I can email them to you. sarlacc boardreactor boardrevised reactor board (with a crossing walk in the middle)

I really liked MasterTiMothee's idea of a 3 person playing field. So I took the sarlacc and reactor boards and made them into 3 player boards. Personally, Im not realy fond of the reactor one, but it may be fun. If anyone wants one of these, just PM me with an email and I will send them to you asap. Its just too much of a pain in the butt to find free hosting for files.

I really like the Sarlacc one, Malform! Excellent job.
Perhaps the reactor one would look better if the reactor pit filled the entire playing area instead of a small area in the middle. I don't know---just a thought.
