Now I am worried, I only have one Vader and I just got him and he is easily my favorite, for obvious reasons, I think I need to get another one. Don't worry, it is fixable. You just have to be very careful. The first time I glued him, I had to have an emergency re-opening while he was still drying because he wouldn't rotate. I scraped all the glue off of his "spinner" and tried again. Third time's a charm, right?

Of course! lol. Yea I didn't know he was one of the more fragile figs, but now I know and I will be careful using him.

Well, Armored Vader is back together and striking quite nicely. However, Starter Vader isn't having as much luck. I was having a striker contest to see who my most powerful striker is, and this guy was starting to break under the pressure. His arm has torn open and you can see the blue plastic piece that attaches his hand/lightsaber. Has this one happened to anyone else? www.northwestbsu.org/other/ripped vader.jpg[/img]

Yeoch! Hasn't happened to any of our figures but it certainly looks like something out of a kung fu movie. Will you be able to repair him?

Yep. I super-glued the crease before his arm popped off, and now I can't tell which one is the bum one I had a feeling you've dealt with this before, since I was testing out your striking technique (just holding the end of the saber) when he split ;D I'll give the superglue another go. I'm going to have to get another tube soon!

My Vader did the same thing with the arm popping out and the boddy poping in two. I glued him so we shall see.
Its one of my wishes that Attacktix would be more durable considering its an action game and some of the peices are hard to come by.

It's largely because his striking arm is rather flexible at the elbow, unlike all of the other saber strikers, which seem to have rigid arms. Yeah, I've got 5 tubes on hand, just in case.

Different Vader, same problem. The picture is a bit fuzzy, but I think you can tell that his arm has split just like Starter Vader (you can see the red plastic inside his arm which connects the saber) : www.northwestbsu.org/other/armored vader split.jpg[/img] The last thing I want is to be eligible for the name VaderBreaker

The last thing I want is to be eligible for the name VaderBreaker Well...err...look on the bright side. Now you know you've got a red-blooded Armored Vader, not like that stiff, stuffy, blue-blooded Starter Vader...or that weird, pointy-eared, Vulcan-blooded Yoda ;D

There is an easy solution!!! Just don't hold the tip of the saber! Hold the base with one hand and the upper body with the other. Sure, you get a little less power, but I've still knocked down armored vader with a grievous bodyquard doing this. You can still knock down any figure and your figures will stay in better condition.

Yeah, but have you knocked down 5-7 grouped figures with this technique? If by "a little less power," you mean "25-75% less power," then I suppose we could be in agreement. However, offhand I'd call that "appreciably less power" or "a lot less power." It's a classic maximum use / maximum life tradeoff.

I'm with YodaBreaker on this one. Now that I've seen the full power that can be unleashed by a striker, I just can't go back to weaker striking methods! I'll just keep the super glue handy, and will probably try to alternate which strikers I'm using so they have time to rest.
Once you've harnessed that kind of power, you'll never want to go back!
