Nice Heads up Superfly! I already picked up two while they were still at Toys R Us. And you are right, they are nearly perfect, so much so, I'd like to make a suggestion: that we come up with a agreed upon Tix design; Points, Class, Special, etc so they are standardized among the Attacktix community.
Here's what I discovered about the Sentinel so far:
The grapple line works very well, pull it out and slip the 'hook" part over a figure, push the button and let it rip. You now "captured" your enemies figure!
The fist shoots out fairly weak, however, since it is so relatively high up, gravity kicks in and the fist knocks over most any figure!(but not every time).
The chest plate will hold small tix based figures only, even then, its a bit of a squeeze, but we did manage to get striker wolverine in the chest cavity and put the chest plate back on!
The knee mechanisms are the tricky thing, you have to strike them very, very hard in order for the feet to pop out and the Sentinel topple over. (also they are too high up, so you have to lift a striker up to the knee level after making contact). I'm thinking some sort of clear band wrapped tightly over each knee mech partly depressing it so it will release more easily.
So, calling all customiZrs! Lets's make this one a group effort: everything from design to Special ideas. And then we can all go out and make Sentinel Megas and even make them for those who might not be able to!
Oh, one more thing, if anyone is at all interested, I would run out to your local Toys R Us and see if they have any left. They were only $14.95 just last week. The ebay shipping price is ridiculous!
